He left yesterday afternoon. He is my best friend and has been for a fourth of my life. I am taking it pretty well so far but I think it is because I have heard from him over the past day. He is now officially at boot camp. I am little confused about how everything works. He is doing AVFS. All I know is that he will be in Pensacola for A school after boot camp. I can't wait to get a letter for him! His mom said it will be about 3 weeks which is kind of disheartening but what can you do. I am very proud of him.

How was everyone's day?? It has been a couple of rough days for me. I miss my boyfriend more and more each day. I think it is starting to hit me that he is no longer a drive or phone call away. I just want to see him and be in his arms. Sigh...I cry a lot. I try not to but today my professor was talking about Veteran's Day and there began the water works. I did however manage to turn my sadness into anger and so the tears stopped. It has been a continuous battle against being sad and keeping busy. All I want to do is cuddle in bed and sleep. Tomorrow will be a better day. I hope all of you ladies are keeping positive and occupied!

Sorry to hear how your days have been. I know exactly how you feel. For the first few days it still felt like he was going to walk through the door or I'd get a phone call saying he was off work. It was hard. Even just yesterday I felt like he was about to come up behind me and rub my back. Today was different. I was still not my complete happy self but I didn't cry today. I had a sense of peace and I'm thankful for that. I hope today gets better than that. I have the "itis" and am so ready to move away from where I Iive and over the job I am doing, but I know I have to change my attitude or the days will drag on. I hope it gets better for you. What are you doing to keep busy?

Well I am really busy with school but in a way being upset makes me not want to do anything which is terrible. I need to get out of my funk and make school my priority because perhaps that will help me cope with it. I was on a little trip for the first few days after my boyfriend left so I was unable to see reality until I returned home and that was when it hit me. Right now my main focus is to make it through the semester and so I will be putting most of my effort into that. I do however feel as though it would bring peace to mind if I heard from him soon!

I know how you feel. I have been ok the past few days. I work most of the day and always try to plan things for as soon as I'm done. My son keeps me busy too. Pile stuff up on your plate! School is a great distraction, but do something for yourself too. Or make a scrapbook for your man. Choose something that makes you happy and do that when you have extra time. My boyfriend's mom and I are going to volunteer to pack up those Christmas packages for the troops. I think it'll make me feel closer to my man and it'll help so many that are overseas.Just a couple ideas :)

Have any of you girls received the form letter yet?

no :( and the wait is killing me. I am crossing my fingers hard for tomorrow but no longer getting my hopes up

Me too! I see all these other ppl who left the same day and got there letters and it's killing me. A lot of the ppl that got there letters yesterday and the day before had PIR 12/28 and I was kinda hoping that's what my bf would get because I heard that graduation has a possibly of a 1 week holiday leave where as PIR 1/4/13 does not :(. Some ppl got there letters today but all with the 1/4/13 PIR so I'm guessing that's what it's gonna be. Oh wells..I still want the letter so I can send letters!!

Yeah, then we might be the 4th. The holiday would be great, but all I want is his address at this point. I have so many letters to send and getting his address means I'm one step closer to hearing from him. I never knew I could miss someone so much! I had a couple good days in a row and then today was a bust. I guess I'm just ready for the weekend. How have you been?

I received his address about a week ago from his recruiter. However I was unable to actually send a letter until this Wednesday due to my ridiculous schedule. I saw on different sites that sometimes it may even take up to the third week to hear from them. Perhaps those in charge will feel nice on Thanksgiving and maybe we will get a phone call. *FINGERS CROSSED* I think once I hear from him it will put me more at ease because at the current moment I am like a roller coaster with ups and downs at every turn. I guess it doesn't help that it is almost that time of the month as well lol. At this point to be able to hear how he is and just know his thoughts would be more than perfect. Also, where did you find that place for volunteering?? It sounds very neat and I would totally want to do it as well.
