Cjohnsonusc,

My boyfriends mom just booked my flight for $402 round trip. He will most likely be going to Pensacola, FL for A school, my boyfriend is going to be an Aviation Rescue Swimmer and there are other boys in his division going into Navy diving and Pensacola afterwards. I am not 100% sure but that is what I have heard so far.

Cjohnsonusc-
My husband left for boot camp July 11th last year. His PIR was Sept. 9. But you definitely need to wait to buy your plane tickets. He could be a push division which means he could graduate a week early than you expect. He could be put in a division that is not full so it would have to wait until next week's recruits arrive so then he'd be a week behind. Plane tickets will stay in that range they won't go up too much more unless you wait until like the week before to buy them.
What rate (job) did your boyfriend singing his contract for? That will determine where his A school is.

My boyfriend left July 12th for boot camp in Chicago and I already miss him so much. I have so many unanswered questions that I'm hopping you ladies can help me answer. The cost of the flight to get to his pir is $550 and only going up, I still don't no the exact date is it safe to buy a flight now for 8 weeks after he left in order to save money or do I need to wait two weeks for the exact date?? And is it true I will only be able to see thereof my life one short day before he leaves again? Also when will he know where he is going to A school??

I'm sorry I have so many questions, I just feel that having some answers will make this all a little bit easier.

You are so lucky!! It has almost only been two weeks and they are going by SO slow! I cannot wait to see him at PIR at the end of August! He will most likely leave the day after PIR since his A school is in Pensacola, FL, so I am looking forward to any time I get to spend with him. Have a good time with your sailor!

Hi ladies! my bf left 6/6 and PIR is 8/3...I'm soooo excited to see him! I'm glad his mom took at least a thousand pictures of him before he left...I still haven't seen them all!!! I wish he could come home for at least a day after PIR but at least I get to see him that day.

Lexxie(Ship-11 Div-264) & abuon18,

Thanks for the info!! I have flats that I could wear, and I am definitely going to be checking the weather two weeks before we leave for GL. Looks like I will have to go shopping sometime between now and then!

My boyfriend left for boot camp on June 6th and his PIR date is 8/3/12. He asked that I get a blue/navy colored dress. I am also going to wear sandals because I heard it is a long walk to where the ceremony is going to be and I don't want blisters from heels on this great day!

Does anybody have a boyfriend with a PIR date of  8/17? I finally got my first letters from him yesterday! (And yes, I cried like a baby!) Lol, but it has been super hard too. Everybody says it gets easier. It's been a little over 2 weeks and it still feels just as hard though. However, I'm not crying everyday like before, so I guess that's a plus.
