Hi Y'all. First timer here. 'Just wondering if anyone reading this has a special someone who entered BC on the 10th of March like I did (my son).

We received our 'kid in a box' a few days ago. We haven't yet received "the letter" with his address and graduation date.

I've been reading other posts and I see I'm just like the gadjillion others before me, asking the exact same stuff . . . but there's safety in numbers & that's why we're here, right?

Anyway . . . if you answered "yes" to my March 10th BC arrival question and HAVE received "the letter," can you tell me the date you received it (approximately?), as well as the graduation date information. I know that my son's graduation date might be different from what yours states, but it'd be cool to know, regardless.

Hey . . . my son and your son/daughter/friend/relative/whatever might be pals. I hope so.

Thanks!

Hi KJH-my son left 10th also but no letter yet-impatiently waiting with you

Hi Heather . . . well . . . 'still no form letter in my mailbox. I hope you had better luck today!

As far as the graduation date goes (May 1 vs May 8) it's anybody's guess (my unscientific poll might show a little edge towards the 1st).

:)

If you haven't received the form letter, then PIR is the 8th unless your recruit sent it to someone else or didn't send one for some reason since form letters are now being received for the 8th.

Thanks lemonelephant.
Some members did say their "10 Marchers" were set to PIR 1 May. I have a feeling YOU have an innate sense of what's going on so I'll plan on the 8th.
I'd just mostly like to know where to address his mail!
(Do u have THAT info as well :) ?) jk

I know he knows I'm waiting for it . . . I seriously don't think he would not send one to us.
On another subject...
BTW... What area of M A is your son working? Last I heard, my son mentioned being interested in the canine unit (in sure that's crazy popular!).

As always, thank you for commenting.

Yes, some who arrived on the 10th were placed in Push Divisions and filled the last divisions in the TG from the week before, but others who arrived on the same date started filling the first divisions of the 05/08/2015 TG and since form letters are now being received for 05/08/2015, it is more likely that recruits will have that PIR date if a form letter has not been received.

I'm glad you know that I don't have the kind of inside info that would allow me to give you the address.

I'll send you a PM concerning the questions on MA.

whew. I'm glad I'm not the only one :)

Thanks Heather. And thanks so much for replying!

I bet we'll both get our letters real soon.

BTW, my son, if all goes as planned, will be heading to "A" school in San Antonio after BC for Master at Arms training. Any chance that's where your son is heading as well?

My son left March 9th. Have recvd the box but no letter yet either. Actually recvd call from him today - he needed pers ref info for background check. Was so awesome to hear his voice. He said he is great and his division is doing well.

Thanks Oleander and chellypop for reassuring me that we're all in the same boat (hee hee). I'll post when my guy's letter arrives. I'm happy chellypop got to hear her son was doing great! I'm sure all is as is should be.

Here's to hangin' in there . . .

Thanks again.

My son left on 3/10 and we received box on 3/16 and letter on 3/17. Letter says PIR is 5/1

Your situation is different. Many who arrived on the 10th will have PIR on the 05/08/2015.

Hi emeraldgirl,

Thanks for your info, I'm happy for you. Me: still no letter, but that'll just give me more time to write award winning letters . . .

Thanks again for replying :)
