My daughter is Ship 11 Div 365. So excited to get her letter! Now just waiting to get an actual letter from her. Can't wait until PIR. September 27th can not get here fast enough!!!

Hi Maureen! As you know, my son Justin is Ship 11 Div 365! So excited we will all be together. Anyone going to the Meet and Greet Thursday Night? I haven't made any reservations yet but thinking Navy Lodge. Let me know what you guys are planning. See you soon!

As of right now, yes, we're up for the "Meet & Greet" Thursday night.  We expect to get to the Lodge around 3:00 that day.  If you're getting in after that, I could send my husband in our station wagon to the airport to pick you guys up!

OK ladies well let's try to meet up at some point that evening depending on what time we all get there.  Maureen - thank you so much for offering to pick us up!  I will keep you posted.  My husband and I fly stand-by becasue he worked for American Airlines, so it will all depend on how flights look closer to PIR.  I won't know what time or even which airport for a while.  If flights look bad that week then we will just drive there.  :)  I will keep you posted!

No problem Christine!  Wow - driving from Texas?  You'll be bushed!

Hi Maureen!  Daughter Em is Ship 11 Div 365.  We are staying at the Courtyard Marriott, and will try to get to one of the meet and greets.  We arrive at Milwaukee aroune 2:40, so not sure if we'll be in Waukegan in time to go, but we will try.

Hello Lori,

We have a daughter named Emily too!  (But its our son who is at Great Lakes.)

If you're flying in to Milwaukee, it's an easy trip out of the airport and straight south down I-94 to Great Lakes.  It will take you about an hour to get to Great Lakes, which will give you plenty of time to check in, get situated and make it over to the Meet and Greet.

Can't wait to meet you and everyone else!

Hi Maureen!  Em was named after her two great grandmothers.  I have always loved that name. It fits her well. We fly into Milwaukee frequently to visit the WI relatives, but I've never traveled south, always north.  I'm glad to hear that it will take only an hour or so to arrive at our hotel.  I really wanted to attend the Meet and Greet and meet all you wonderful mom's!  I'm so glad that our kids are on the same ship!

Anyone else a little freaked out that we are already making our reservations and planning for graduation? Don't get me wrong I am so excited! It just feels like she's been gone forever and at the same time she just left yesterday. Can't wait to get there!

I agree, Danna!  It does seem like she's been gone forever, but it seems impossible to believe that PIR is coming up faster than ever.  I found myself online as soon as I got the letter, making reservations ASAP, like it was going to get me there any sooner! LOL  SO EXCITED!!

Yes it is a pretty crazy feeling. At first when you get the letter you feel like graduation is practically next week but then you realize it is still 6 weeks away...  It is definitely a roller coaster of emotions but I am happy we get to write to them now and hopefully have more communication.  I am really looking forward to seeing my son and meeting all of you.  I hope he will have some time to spend with us after.  That would be wonderful!

So I think we have a mixed division. I see people posting about sons and daughters in Div 365. That is awesome! got our reservations for the Navy Lodge. We will be driving so I hope we have the time and energy afterward to come to Sarge's Meet and Greet. I listed us as maybe because I have to see how the trip goes first. Can't wait to hear from my daughter! Hope all is going well for all of them.
