My SR arrived late Monday night. His flight was delayed and he didn’t land until after 10 at O’Hare. I received my call at 1:28 am.

I don’t know how to use this site yet. How do we add each other as friends?

Kimber to add as friends cluck in the name of the person, then it will take you to her or his page and it will say add as friend click on that and wait for reply.

Me!!!!! I’ve been a slight wreck.
Omg so sorry. My brain is a mess. He just got there this Tuesday the 24

Thescbelle, take a deep breathe you will be ok, come join Boot Camp Moms, I help out there, and whatever you need will be posted, sometimes you may need to ask but you will get answered. And the Ladies are great, we pray and encourage, share any and all experiences. Know your Loved one is fine and in good hands. They may be tired and working hard to achieve what is needed, have long days but BC is hard for a reason. You will hear from your Loved one that there are many not taking things serious but sometimes that happens and eventually they will get weeded out. Please keep your head up and keep the faith. You have to stay strong for your Loved one. Please if you have questions let me know. Have a good evening.

My daughter arrived on the 23rd late at night. Called around 12 in the morning.  "I made it, love you bye" was all that I heard, but about what I expected.  This is our third time through BC with three of our kids.  Marines, Air Force and now Navy.  Just remember what others are saying.  No news is good news.  We received belongings on Friday, and are waiting for the form letter.

These groups are supper helpful for information and support.  Use them for support and make sure you vent here, not to your sailor.  Send love and encouragement in your letters and thoughts.

Like I told my daughter when she left, "Wake up, Survive, go to sleep".  I don't know as much about Navy processes, but I am here lurking if anyone needs a listening ear.

Welcome sailorDadW,  how exciting for you, and thank your Marine and Air Force members for me.  You will get through this, and so will your daughter.  The form letter should come sometime this week, then you can start making plans.  Sarge's Meet and Greet is every Thursday Evening and is a nice event for the families.  There are 2 hotels close the the Meet and Greet site, and only about 10 Minutes from base.  They offer shuttles to and from PIR so you don't have to drive in that mess of traffic.  Best of luck to you and your Recruit.

I received the call at 9:38pm

Since he shipped on the 16th, then you should be receiving The Form Letter any day now.
