Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hello!
I am one of the "veteran" moms on the PIR groups. Do you happen to know the PIR (Pass in Review) date for your recruit?
This is the most current PIR group on here, PIR 10/14/2011:

It is most likely that this will be your recruits TG (Training Group). We have reports up to 345 right now.
Please join! If it turns out NOT to be your group and yours is the following week...you can just join that group.
(Actually, IF it ends up being the following week I would like to invite you to consider starting that group up!)

Hi there! My son's in this Division. He's probably a little older than most-25-but has been looking forward to this so much. I can't get used to not being able to call him.

I know what you mean about getting used to not being able to call him! We are looking for car keys to move my son's car today! My son will turn 21 in just a few weeks while he is in Basic Training, so he is probably older than some. He was ready to go, and had a year to wait for delayed entry and was really ready to go when it was time!

My husband is in Division 349. He's 28, going to be a Seabee Reservist. I just finished A School at Great Lakes, I am a Gunner's Mate.

Congratulations on just finishing A-school. So your husband is in Ship11/349 too. Maybe we will get to meet at graduation. Where is original home for both of you. We are from the Atlanta area. When we begin getting letters from Jon it will be interesting to know whom has met and been able to get to know in his division. Please keep in touch til graduation. We would always be interested in hearing things concerning our guys' division's training, day to day events. Of course I know this must be old hat for you since you have been in for a while. Jon will be going to IT A-school in Pensacola, FL. Thinking perhaps your husband will stay on at GL for A-school? Where will you be headed next? Best wishes to both of you. - Judy
