Good morning all! It's been two weeks since my SR left. I have his box and his form letter, so I am feeling pretty happy, which is a far cry from how I felt two weeks ago. I am so thankful that I have had all of you to help get through the past few weeks. So thank you, thank you, thank you!
Last week I was feeling pretty mopey and was worrying about the same things all of you are worrying about..Is he sleeping? eating? Is he warn out? Is he cold? All of this while sitting at my comfortable table, sipping coffee...That is when I came up with an idea. I decided to get off my rear and spend this "bootcamp" time doing my own bootcamp.
It has been only a week, but I can honestly say that it has been nice to have something to center some of that "feel sorry for myself" energy on. Which leads me to...........
I HAVE A CHALLENGE FOR YOU...THE BOOTCAMP MOM CHALLENGE.
So if you are interested this is my thought. Find something that is tough for you whether it be something mentally or physically challenging. It doesn't matter what it is...maybe working out, changing eating habits, cleaning the garage, less smoking, drinking more water. Find something that you can throw yourself into for the weeks ahead while you are waiting for PIR. You are welcome to share it, or keep it to yourself.
Here are the Pro's...It keeps your mind occupied, you are challenging yourself, you have something to write about to your SR, you have something you can share with your SR when you see him/her.
Now for the CONS....Ummmm, I can't think of any.
So think about it...How about you come and join me on this journey...
BTW...My challenge is to drink a gallon of water a day, and I have a Cardio, weightlifting plan that is mapped all the way out until I leave for PIR.
Good Luck!

Sailormaid's shake sounds delish! Definitely going to try that one!!
Hi MamaBear! Good job walking. Isn't it wonderful that our kids keep us motivated. The past few days I have been super tired but I keep plugging along. So glad you are joining us!
Hi ladies, I would just like to say that after my workout today, I hurt, I want to barf, I hate drinking so much water, and Even the dog is disgruntled that we are on cookie lock down around here.
Other than that, it's going FAB!
*signed,
determined, out of shape mom who keeps it going cause my boy is out there running with blisters from the new boots & x-box withdrawals-
Thanks for keeping me up and at it y'all
Keep at it! In another week or so you'll feel crappy when you don't work out.
I skipped yesterday because I had a work event and I wish I hadn't. I simultaneously feel like a slug and feel like I have to release all this extra energy :-p
Hang in there!
I sure hope so!! Thank you :)
isn't it amazing how one day makes such a difference...We all just need to remember that it takes 2 months for something to become a habit...If we keep this up after two months we can call ourselves athletes ;-)
Oh Aimee, I am so proud of you! What I hate about the increase in water is the amount that you have to run to the bathroom. I know that it only takes a few days for your body to become accustom but it is still annoying.
Today has been a rough day for me because my belly is not enjoying the amount of roughage that it is getting. I know that, that too will acclimate but right now its no fun. It was hard to drink my water today because of it. Tomorrow will be a better day.
Speaking of tomorrow...that is leg day. Can I tell you guys how much I am dreading it...Leg days in the past have meant that I run around looking for handicap toilets all day because they aren't so low to the ground...
Okay, DARE time. After you read this message you have to go drink at least 8 oz of water....1..2...3... GO....
BTW..You guys are amazing!
LMAO! That handicap potty part cracked me up!!!
I drank your challenge water! it's 10pm- I'll fall asleep then have to p at 11, but darn it, I'm doing it!
Thank you Amy, you are awesome!
