Yesterday she left, I am wondering how she is making it today. We went and saw her sworn in and then we texted while she was at the airport. She called me from the Chicago airport and then I got a call about midnight saying she was there, and she would talk to us in 3 weeks. I hope that she has survived today okay, because I didn't receive a phone call saying they were sending her home...

Hi Charlee,
I'm soooo happy for you that you got a call from your daughter!! I know you were thrilled. I'm so disappointed that I didn't get a call. Wonder why? I saw where another mother posted that her son called, too. I hope nothing is wrong. I guess we weigh everything and think something is wrong when it's not all the same. I've been looking for a letter any day, but nothing so far. Did you daughter happen to say whether they are getting mail yet? I've written my daughter everyday. I hope she is getting her mail.

Also, did your daughter tell you what ship and division? Is she in the same division as my daughter? Ship 10, Div 338. Let me know. I'm so anxious to hear. I was very glad to read that your daughter said it wasn't too bad! That was a relief.

Stay in touch. Thanks, Navy Mom MS
Yes, it is a BIG relief! No she said that she was filling out some security papers for her job to be and while they were waiting, they let them call home. I thought that something was wrong! we talked for about 15 minutes, I was in a meeting and finally told her I had to go... She on a different ship Ship 12, DIv 341, I did get her letter today also, it was postmarked on Monday...
My daughter is Ship 12, Div 341 her PIR is 10/15. Isn't your daughter the week before???
My daughter called me this morning! Scared me to death, thought something was wrong, she said no, she was doing some kind of security paperwork for her job, and they told them they could call home, we talked for 14:20 minutes, finally told her I had to go back to work! Things are going great, said it wasn't that bad, just the yelling! Great to hear her voice, and know she is doing fine!
Hi Charlee, I missed my son's call like that yesterday morning! I was in a coding conferenc and it was just about time for my presentation--and all the corporate big wigs were there! Darn it--as soon as I could go outside--I just started bawling since I had missed his call! My son will be an IT--what's your daughter's rate?
Cryptologic Whatever that is? :)
