Hello,

My daughter left for BC September 10th and her recruiter called the 17th to give us her division and mailing address. We were told she was in div 954 with a PIR of November 15th. I received a very quick, maybe 2 minute scripted call this afternoon  saying her division had been changed to 432 with a PIR still November 15th. I asked her if she was ok and she said yes but sounded emotional, maybe it was just hearing my voice. I guess I feel good that she must still be on track as her a PIR date didn’t change. Is it common to change? I believe the 900s are performance groups so maybe it wasn’t a good fit? I will keep praying and thinking positive thoughts for her.

They may have needed to fill another division and that's why they moved her.  It doesn't sound like anything happened - especially since it's still the same PIR date.  And I'm guessing the emotion was just as you said - hearing your voice!

Sometimes the recruiters don’t have good information. That’s why I always wait for anything in writing. Lol Dates and times change so often in the military it’ll make your head spin.

Thanks for the reply - I do think the recruiter info was correct as when my daughter called she said she was being removed from the 900 div and placed in div 432. She arrived at BC on 9/10 and we have yet to receive any letter. Where she was in the first division for a week, not even sure if the letter will have the original div or the new one. Will just keep waiting, have no choice I guess. LOL

I heard today that my daughter in law is also in Div 432!  My son is so lonely so this time needs to fly by. The needs of the Navy are not keeping him busy enough on base.

Looks like they are together! PIR November 15th - 2 1/2 weeks down - 7 to go.

My son left for bootcamp on Sept 12, 2019 and we received a call about one week after he left saying he was moved to a new division with a new graduation date of Nov 15th.  It has been 2 weeks now and we still have not received the form letter.  Is this normal?
