Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Having a rough night....
I am sitting at home all alone - and missing my boy more than ever. It has been almost 2 weeks since he left. I mailed off my first letter to him today! I can not wait till I receive my first letter from him! How is everyone coping? I feel like I am struggling. There are so many changes going on right now in my life - not just my son joining the Navy. Since he left, I have been trying to keep myself busy, but sometimes I just fall apart. Is that ok to allow myself to do that? I have to be strong for my other kids - but sometimes it is so hard. I guess I am asking for some words of encouragement! Any words would be nice! Thank you!

Thank you Navy Moms for helping me out last night with your kind words and thoughts! It was a rough night, but I survived and today is a new day for me! It just hit me yesterday, while I was driving and I couldn't stop crying. I went into our local donut shop, crying last night and got like 1/2 dozen donuts - white cream filled and the lady at the counter probably thought I was crazy - LOL. My son PIR date is August 8th. He is in Ship 11, DIV 245. Anyone else in the same division?

You have joined PIR 08/08/2014 TG 39. Divisions 245 and 246 are brother divisions and train together and will have Battle Stations-21 (BST) together, so look for others with loved ones in either division. There will be a discussion within that group for the two divisions.

Your son had made a good choice and is in good hands right now. Just encourage him and be strong for him, that's what he needs most right now. It is very hard having them gone. I haven't seen my son since Jan 4th for boot camp graduation. I just think to myself what a great experience this is for him:) my biggest fear and worry right now is when he had to go to SERE school:/

Hello :) My son has been gone a week tomorrow. I feel as if all week I was doing fine. Then this morning I woke up and felt sad. I know my son is okay, but I just miss seeing and talking to him. His box came Friday so that was nice because I know next will be an address. I have been just trying to keep busy and I'm glad it is summer time and not winter where I'd be stuck inside more and have way too much time to over think things! I just have to keep reminding myself how proud I am, and how he is going to feel such pride in himself when this is over. Keep thinking positive! I really have enjoyed this site because it is nice to have so many others who are feeling the same thing :)
