My daughter was sent to bootcamp since 11/17/21. She had a PIR date of 1/21/22. I had everything booked for that date. I got a call from her last night, she is being sent to the ship 2 DIV 741-RCU. She has stress fractures in her knee and ankle that has to heal before she completes her final run. Now we have no time as to how long she will be in RCU and no New PIR date. She is sad and disappointed and I can’t be there to console her I have to give support over the phone with those short phone calls. Is anyone on here have been through the RCU process and can give some insight?

Ummi-- Thank you for sharing!  I was just going through my lists and was wondering about your SR.  Since I couldn't recall the last time I saw you post I was wondering if she came home.  I'll be praying for her to finish strong and well!!

Hello belovedbyHim. I appreciate you're asking.  My SR has really made me see how she's matured in 4 months. She's doing well and is so focused on her PT, adjusting her running technique according to her coach's recommendations. She's already done 2 practice runs and said her legs burned a little afterward, but felt fairly strong. She's keeping her mind active with the workbooks I've been sending her and sharing them the other SRs. We're both keeping positive. Thanks for the prayers!

Ummi-- For sure!  You may want to update on the main BC page just because I know not all the moms there have been keeping up here.

Good idea. Will do.

Thank you so much for that awesome response. I’m already doing everything you mentioned in the email. I am very proud of her. Just wish I could talk to her more often. I pray for her and think of her often. Thanks again.

Have you heard anything yet from your daughter? Praying that everything goes well for her and get back in training
No I haven’t heard anything yet since I last spoke with her on Jan 4th when she was first sent to RCU. Just Got a letter that she wrote the day after and she was not in good spirit, she wanted to come home. I sent her two letters before I got this one so I don’t know how she is feeling now.
I hope she's okay and you hear from her soon! #thisistough
Hi Marienavymom4kk! I'm in the same position with my son who has a stress fracture. Next week would have been his PIR. I haven't gotten another call since the don't come call last week. Don't know how he's doing, and it's really hard. I wonder if their shipmates can visit. How is your daughter doing?

Hi Dawne -- You may want to also post this on the Main Bootcamp Moms page.  I answered on your page.  While we may not all have answers.  You are NOT alone in this.

Hello! I'm not so savvy with this app, but I'll try. Tomorrow is was his PIR date. I'm very sad and worried about him but hoping he will call on Sunday.
