Just made my reservations staying at the residence inn with my husband and daughter and son-in-law we really got a good price on a 2 bedroom suite with Kitchen and all. not very many rooms left. all hotels seem to be booking fast!

We are staying at the sleep inn and its completely booked.
Hi Phoenixmom, are you booking at the one in Waukegan? I've been researching that one and it was one of my options. My SR is on the last day of processing but time flies so I'm trying to prepare now.

Yes this is the Hotel, very nice accommodations, suites are studio suites, 1 bedroom, 2bedroom. price is reasonable. we also liked this because we don't want to have to go out to eat morning noon and night we have a kitchen and all utensils pots pans included. not to many rooms left. from looking on line a lot of the hotels near Base are either completely full and or near full. Hope this helps

What about the navy lodge? Inst that right there
I haven't made reservations yet, just wondering if anyone knows

I looked at it, but it seems like our sailor would need to be with us to sponsor us.  We are coming in day before and will do some sightseeing, so I went with something close to base.  There was a travel website I looked at with list of hotels close to base.  Many of them offer shuttles to base for graduation.

Yes a lot of the Hotels Have shuttle for $3 a person, when Booking with the Navy Lodge you need to use your Sailors Info from what I have been reading. But I hear Sarge has a special going on when he picks up from airport he shuttles to and from Graduation. I would Book or make reservations now because the Hotels are Booking fast! and if for some reason your Son/Daughters date changes they give you a certain time to cancel for free, Hotel that is. A lot of the Hotels also have a free continental Breakfast. If you haven't received the Letter the Hotels that are listed in the booklet are Sleep Inn, Days Inn Great Lakes, Holiday Inn express and Suites, Red Carpet Inn, Homewood Suites, Red Roof Inn, Super 8, Motel 6, Hampton Inn and Suites,, Howard Johnson,  America's Best Value Inn and Suites Courtyard Marriot, Residence Inn. Hope this Helps Just look up Great Lakes Hotels and it will bring them up.
