I noticed the weather warnings for the past few days. I was wondering what the policy is for extreme hot weather? Being from a desert climate, we are used to hot and dry. I can only guess what it must be like with the high temps and high humidity. I'm glad to see that the weekend is cooler now.
Most of what they are doing is inside anyway so they just limit outdoor exercise and remind them to Hydrate frequently. They carry water with them all the time already so it's not really a big deal.
There is a heat index calculation that is used for the base. When the temp are too high or too low, they limit outside activity. Both students on the TSC side and the RTC stop the marching from building to building etc when the index is high.
Most of their activity is indoors so outside really isn't an issue other than getting from building to building. They also watch the recruits water intake closely.
