Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

How helpful is the RTC in allowing my son to get a Police Report for his stolen wallet???
Seriously, his wallet was stolen at BC (PIR 9/14). It contained his Driver's License, Social Security Card and possibly his NFCU info.
All the information I am seeing on line about replacing those stolen items and reporting to the Credit Bureau is the need for an initial Police Report on the incident.
This just makes me ill because they already have enough they have to go through once they move into A School. Just very concerned he will not get what he needs to properly take care of this once he leaves BC.

Has he reported this to his RDC's? He will be able to get much more accomplished on his end then you will be able to on yours as far as taking care of the things he needs to while in bootcamp.

It would be more of a military police situation. It would be taken care of in house. Has he reported it to his RDC. They would then do their own investigation.

Also you could probably email the person who runs the RTC facebook page, she is very helpful and might be able lead you in the right direction....rtc.pao@navy.mil - that is the email for public affairs at GL. Good luck..

My son's wallet was stolen while deployed. The wallet was never located, but the military was helpful in getting everything taken care of. He should speak to his RDC and I am sure they will help with the reporting issue.

I hope they find out who the thief is and boot him out of boot camp. If it was indeed a SR, they do not deserve to be there and need to go home immediately. Has there been any mention of possible crooks? I am so sorry your SR is having to go thru this. My son had his brand new Van tennis shoes stolen from him in the Varsity Football locker room and I was so devastated at that, I can only imagine how this feels.
