Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

letters..
I know i saw on it here once before but now I cant seem to find it.. where are the rules for sending letters to your SR..what you can/can not send?... i need this asap..some people are trying to send baskets...

Do not send baskets, only letters.. If you are going to send any type of package, have your SR get permission from his RTC. Certain books are ok, but have to be approved, remember their storage space is very limited.Bibles are ok. Do not send food.. your SR will be very sorry..he will not get to eat it :(, Stories of the RTC's eating the food while your SR does push ups..or the food is given to everyone but your SR. It's in a link under Letter Writing Fun. No packages of any kind unless your SR specifically requests it. Tell friends and loved ones that your SR will be disciplined by the RDCs if they get things other than letters. Plain white envelops, no markings on the outside, not too thick, no musical cards.

Do NOT send food, musical cards, gifts...letters, small bibles only, it is on the site what size bible is allowed. They can also get small bibles from the church on Sundays. Do NOT write anything on the outside of the envelopes, no S.W.A.K. or lipstick kisses, one of the guys in my sons group had to do push ups and kiss the envelope each time he went down on the push up. Do not spray perfume on the envelopes either!

Kae'lynn the smarta** in me really wants to say that only if those people HATE your SR should they send baskets to them. However, I'm trying to silence her. So no baskets. No glitter/confetti (anything that will stick to a uniform and cause your SR problems on inspection) Nothing on the outside of envelope except addresses and stamp. Colored envelopes seem to be OK. No baked goods to the SR. My son's gf is a fantastic baker. I think that's been hard for her. Anyway, I'm sure some of the veteran moms will answer also
Good luck, that is precisely why I didn't put his address on fb. I said I had it and anyone could pm me to get it. -

NO NO NO baskets! It will never get to him. The RDC's will probably eat it . Navy is very STRICT in boot camp. SORRY
