For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I understand completly how you feel. I was a mess when my son left for boot camp on Aug 20th. But my husband was a bigger mess.Since we have recieved a phone call and yesterday recieved our first letter from him and we cried.It is a bitter sweet feeling,but it is boy's like ours that make sure we live in a " FREE COUNTRY. My Blessings to all the young men in the Service.I can't wait for Graduation...Just remember that no news is good new.Congrats to you and your family !!!

Send him pictures but not too many,they have very limited space.He will be happy having receieved them.This also helps them appreciate all those who love and miss him.

Darcie, my son graduated oct 18 of last year. I swore I wouldn't make it to that day. Lol. I completely understand where your head is. My son is now in Japan. Yuck. Lol

My son wants to stationed in Japan. He wants the experience and love's the food.How does your son like Japan and have you gone to see him ?

He's been there 7 months. It was a culture shock at first but he really likes Japan. Once we figured out how to talk whenever we want its been great. He has his moments. He's a big football fan so we bought a sling box for him to login to our dvr and watch whatever he wants. He is actually watching football RIGHT NOW from Japan in my den lol. I haven't been able to plan a visit yet but we have plenty of time. He's there for 3 years. He'll be home in a few months for 3 weeks so I'm excited about that. They make good money there!!

I have never heard of a Sling Box. It sounds great,and the fact that he's able to watch the sports channel makes it even better.

He can do everything with my tv like he's sitting there. Even watch the local news. It's amazing. It makes him seem closer when I go down and he's watching tv. Silly I know.

No Paua, it is not silly doing hat ever it takes to have your son seem close to you. I go to my son's room and just sit there,it always smells of his cologn. These are the kind of things mom's do when they miss there kids.
