Got the call last night.  He said what we figured out, his phone didn't work. LOL  He called my job first to leave a voice mail and I got part of the conversation at work before he then called the house.  It was nice to get the call and talk to him.

Navymom1 I'm csi happy you received your call. I felt horrible for you on Wednesday morning knowing are sons went in the same time.

Thanks! I was ok, I knew if something happened they would contact me. That's what kept me calm. We got his fed ex package on Friday.

I'm stll waiting on my box . I hope it comes soon

That is great.

Reading about scripted and crying phone calls.  Yikes.

No backing out now. My son said he had a little 'anxiety moment' about what is to come, the other night. I hate that for him.

My daughter left the 17 also - got the phone call late the 18th... waiting on the box... patiently, of course ;)

She's our younger of two - tough to watch your baby walk away.  But this has been her dream for 12 years - couldn't be prouder.  Or happier!  How many people actually live out their dreams !?!?!?  YEAH for all of those men & women!

My son left on the 17th, received my "kid in a box" yesterday. Both jean pant legs were still rolled up.

Did Fedex bring it to you? I'm in Texas and have not received mine yet . My son left on the 17th also

FedEx delivers "the box" unless you live in an area that FedEx hands off to the USPS. See Arrival and What Happens at the RTC.

Yep, that is very common. See Arrival and What Happens at the RTC.

I was wondering if anyone had any idea of around what weekends in August the PIR might be?  I'm trying to prepare my job for the time off.  If I gave a few possible weekends I think that might help.
