Hi and yes my son also left on that day.He will also be graduating on that date also and cant wait to see him.We are proud of him but the time is not going fast enough we got our flight and hotel and are ready to go,What about you?Christmas will be very hard but at least they will get to celebrate with others and not be on base.

We got our hotel and plan to drive.  He was so worried the date might change for graduation.  It was hard putting the tree up yesterday because he loved decorating it with me or a girl friend.  Have you gotten to talk to your son?  We missed his second call and we were sick.  Now the house phone is forwarded to my cell and we answer every call.

My son also has PIR 1/6/12, I too have already got my ticket, hotel and am counting the days. What Ship and Div are your son's in?

Our son is in ship 12, div 029.  We got two letters yesterday and it is the highlight of our lives.  We sit down like two hungry little kids to read them and savor every word, its funny.  Never realized letters could bring such delight.  He is doing well.  He said they got new uniforms and are waiting for them to come back from the tailors.  They have a weapons turnover inspection today he is nervous about, yet feeling confident.

The last time i talked to my son was Nov 30th it was for about 30 min it was great we got two letters monday and one of them was a piece of paper folded and he said this is how we fold are blankets i thoght that was funny,ya i keep my phone in my hand all day my coworkers think im crazy but thats ok.My son is in sip 12 div 29 also What hotel are you staying at?and are you guys going to sarges meet in greet?

You got to talk to him for 30 minutes.  I am so jealous ;).  We are staying at the

Marriott.  When and what time is the sarges meet in greet?  I didn't know anything about that.  Just found out my son is going to San Antonio, TX  for his "A" trianing for Hopsital Medical Corpmen after boot.  Do you know if they get more than just a few days after boot?  I'd love to take him back home with us.

Staying at the Residents Inn Marriott, 1440 South White Oak Drive, Waukegan, IL  60085

What marriott? we are staying at the springhill marriott sarge said it was closer then the other marriott we were staying at so we changed plus it was alot cheeper. His meet n greet is at 5pm to 10 hes was telling me that theres alot of food fun and information. My son is also going to texas for A school sarge had told me that they will leave saturday morning at 130 am unless for some reason the goverment changes.

I'll look into changing to the closer Marriott.  How amazing that both our sons are going to Texas.  Wow we don't even get the entire weekend with them if they leave Saturday morning.  I thought they get a liberty.  I wish I knew exactly when his liberty was so we could plan accordingly.  Do you know?

hey I know we thought we were going to get all weekend so we booked until that sunday Sarge had mentioned to me that once they get to A schhol they will get a little time depending on the school one of the other parents had said that her other son that graduated last summer left that night also I guess we can just hope that the goverment decieds to change it up.

Hi Michelle, we got our reservations changed to the Springhill Marriott and it was a ot less expensive.  Thanks for the tip.  Do you know if they can stay with us the day of liberty?  Did you say they leave for TX at 1:30 is that PM or AM?

Hi there and you are so welcome.I was told by sarge that after graduation we may take them with us back to our hotel dinner or wherever they want to go ,then we have to have them back by 9pm  then they will get bus to the airport were we can meet them there.sarge said the airport will usually let the family go up past secerity to stay with them until there flight leaves.and its 130 AM.
