Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

PIR and after visists
Hi, Thanks all for sharing this site has been so helpful. So I get that we won't know how long we can get them after grduation but if they are available through the weekend is it ever overnight? or do they always have to spend the night back on base? Thanks
Also I was thinking of spending a couple days in the city of Chicago since I have never been there and if he can get out during the days picking him up and dropping him off. Is that something that is doable? Thanks

imalia -- Welcome. I'd suggest posting your question on the Main BC moms page as well. Not everyone gets the notification of New Discussions.
If their A school is at GL they get overnight. If they are in THU on the A school side- they MIGHT get over Night. IF they are on the BC side they DO NOT get over night, They also DO NOT get their Phones and they CANNOT bring ANYTHING back on base that is considered BC Contraband -- Clothes, phones, electronics, food.... They will KNOW the rules. This is 100% subject to change at any time and for any reason! Welcome to the Navy! Semper Gumby!!
If you have a FULL Day (Not just PIR Friday) It's somewhat doable but you really have to watch your time and be back well before the cut off. ON time is LATE. Have him back to base 30 min to 1 hour before curfew. It is a HUGE issue if they are late. Mine didn't have that opportunity which is why I suggest posting on the main BC page so that some of our other moms who have recently had similar experiences can chime in. -

imalia - Welcome!! I ditto what BBH shared and I also suggest that you post your questions down below this discussion area in the Comment Wall section. That is where we do our daily chatter and those messages feed to more of our members on a much more regular basis.

imalia - Be sure to read all the posts down in the Comment Wall section on the BC Mom group pages, there have been some recent posts there that will answer some of your questions.
