Hi Katyellen,

I saw that in a prior post, your son also left May 8th.  Yes?  So did mine.  But I gave about 4 days for processing and then counted 8 weeks and this left us on Fri 7/13 for PIR.  And an earlier post for someone that left a week before mine noted that they expected PIR about 7/6 but was concerned of that day due to the Holiday on the 4th.

However it looks like you have had the 7/6 date confirmed.  I am really interested in finding out which week is the best bet because my husband has had a contract to work our State Fair for the last 20 years and it is set to open 7/13 so having all the feed there and trying to leave for PIR on the day before is a TREMENDOUS stress issue right now.  If I confirmed it is 7/6 it would be a great releif right now (assuming he has no individual delays).

Thanks for any info!

Hoss...have you called the recruiter for the addy? You div # may help us figure out his PIR date

Hi HossLuvinNavyMom....I'm starting to figure this out better, this is twopercentsmom (we met at MEPS, my son's name is the same as your son's bf)...I agree..7/6 would be better for me also.  I haven't received anything yet, no letter, no box, going to call the recruiter tomorrow and see if I can't get some info out of him.  TTYS

Katyellen,
I just got my sons address from his recruiter today...ship 3 div 208...is that the same as yours? His box was waiting for me when I got home this afternoon but no letter yet. He left May 9.

Teacher mom...looks like your PIR date will be July 6. That group is forming now...the link will be posted soon.

I received my letter today as well.  My son is also  PIR 7/6  Ship 3 Div 208.  Relieved to get the letter  thought I would have to wait forever.  LOL

Teachermom and angelsince...yes my son is with ship 03 div 208.  His form letter came today with the info for his PIR date of 7/6/12.  He was sworn in on the 8th teachermom, so maybe they will be on the same date.  This is exciting, as we have our kids grad on the same day.  Hopefully we will get more.

JessicaB...thanks for the help.  I went on the link you sent me and i am waiting for a response from her.   Actually i have not checked yet as i saw these postings in my email.  I have so much to learn but am excited to be able to talk Navy talk to my son...lol

Hoss...i also counted and thought it would be on the 9th but i was wrong so you should be getting that form letter any day now.  fingers crossed for you. let us know.  take care and good luck.
