While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Possibly being sent home?
What is the process if an SR may be sent home because of medical?
I'm the aunt of an SR and receive information second hand from my SIL. She said my niece called yesterday from medical and thinks she is going to be sent home because of a shoulder injury. She mentioned something about being separated from her division and possibly being processed out in the next couple of weeks. It sounds like she has been in medical since her processing days. We don't understand how she could injure her shoulder before PT begins. She had injured the shoulder a couple of years ago. Would they send her home because of a past injury and not a current injury?
What is the process she is going through now with being sent home?
We are crushed for her. She wanted this so bad.

Daisy, there is a wonderful group on facebook called Ships 5 Seps. The ladies there have a ton of information on this process. They are so very helpful, they all have children currently in SEPS or have been through the process. My son is currently in Ship 5 -has been since Saturday.

Hello Daisey,
I know of a similar situation,where an SR broke his leg. He was sent home,recuperated and was able to go back. He was in boot camp at the time of his injuries. He needed some surgery,was out of commission for almost one year and went back.Unless it is an injury preventing your niece from doing her job,she can go back. I am sure the the Drs. there have advised her of this.Good Luck to her !!!

JC's mom thanks for the info. I'm on there now too trying to find out info. Not hearing much good news.
We're so confused. She was still asking for further info for security clearance and then says she's being
separated.
We just want to know what is going on.

This almost happened with my son
He had to have Phych testing for ADHD
He passed
I was bracing my self
You can help your child adjust and replaced -

I'm so confused. Now I'm being told being separated from your division is different than being separated from the Navy.
My SIL is not sure which she meant. Please make this stop being a nightmare of the unknown. UGH!
