Merry Christmas everyone! I received my form letter and do to the holidays and the craziness I am sending the security access form tomorrow overnight. The question is that it says that they need the letter back within 7 days is that from post date or when, it also said his father and I did others get security access forms to for him to choose from, Plus will he be able to spend time after graduation to see his brothers, and when does he ship out to his school?

Lindsey, I don't think it is necessary to pay the extra money to send the security form overnight. I believe they mean return within 7 days of receiving it. There should only be one form letter that was sent by your recruit to whomever he chose to send it to as well as security access form. Only two names are allowed on the guest security form. His brothers may see him at his motel room.
If your sailor is staying in GL then they will transfer over the afternoon of PIR. If they are flying out or going by other means, they will likely go the next day. Be sure to look at the discussions on the BC mom group and read my discussion about flying out.
thank you so much for the information I greatly appreciate it
Lindsey,
You are welcome!! Be sure to ask your questions down in the Comment Wall area of the BC Mom group, below the discussions. More of the members will receive notifications of those posts and more likely to reply.
Lindsey,
I realized you are probably very busy from your profile and might not have a chance to post much i the BC Mom group but that is where a lot of the questions and updates are posted. Hopefully you have joined your PIR group.
Just an update with regards to what I posted about if your sailor is leaving GL for their A school. There seem to be a lot of sailors in THU (Temporary Holding Unit) waiting to leave for their A schools. If your son ends up there, he will likely have more of the weekend to be with you all and he might even possibly be able to spend the night. I believe he will have to request a special chit to do so. Stay as flexible as your family is able to do. When he calls you after Battle Stations (assuming he is able to call you before you have to leave for GL, then be sure to ask him if he has his orders and if he knows for certain what his travel is supposed to be.)
I hope this helps.
