Hi Everyone~ Got my form letter with a little note on the back that says a couple things that need repeating.
"I miss you guys a lot! and this place blows... but I'm doing really well and will graduate no problem! I miss a lot of things and it's only the 5th day. HA HA HA"
"P.S. they don't let you refill milk, they suck"
This coming from a boy that used to drink a gallon of milk a day.... had slowed down to about a half but still loves his milk.
Yay!!!!! The first line hit me kinda strong but he seems to be in good spirits. One week down!

This doesn't look promising for other families of SR on Ship 12......... hhhhmmmmmmm
I just received the form letter from my husband who is also in Ship 12 DIV 053. Also just today i got a short phone call from him. He needed to know my parents wedding date. As to why i have no idea but it was great to hear his voice. Apparently the division does not listen well to orders and they have been given no privileges and extra punishment. They also have a very strict RDC. So far he said no mail has been given to them (you have to earn the privilege of mail). He said boot camp is tough but he sounded it better spirits after talking with him. Hopefully it gives him the strength to press on. Today is Week 1 Day one for them.
When did your son leave for BC? Mine left on the Dec 6th. Just receive his box today, but no form letter yet :( . I am so anxious. My son likes his milk too.
Hubby left 11/29
My son left on 12/1/11. I'm so sorry to hear they aren't listening very well :( Gosh I hope it's not my kid!!! And no mail :(
How old is your husband? Where is he headed after bootcamp?
My husband is older 28 and already has a degree in business administration and was not able to find a decent job. So into the navy he went. He is off to IS A school after boot camp. I have read that normally recruits have a 2 week mail black out period before they start receiving it so hopefully after this week they will have a stack of mail from us! I'm hoping he was able to write today and that maybe Wed i'll have something in the mail :) I miss him so much!
Hi! Great to know there are more of us :-) This has been really hard on me, we are close... I wonder all the time what he's doing. His note was in good spirits so that made it a little easier. What is your son doing after BC? Have you gotten another letter yet? By reading above, they may be getting into a little trouble.... that's not like my son but I guess a mother never knows.......
Any other's out there with the same ship date? I'd like to know when everyone receives their letters or phone calls so I can, hopefully, be expecting mine :-)
Kathy
Just got my first letter from my SR today! Feels so good to hear from him.
