Thank you for the clarification on the "pants" mystery.  I like that explanation better than believing he was already in trouble!  We received his "form" letter yesterday and that simple document made us so happy.  We immediately sent the letters we had written and provided his address to all the other close family members that were interested.  I look forward to meeting all my son's new friends.  I hope he forms some new relationships that he can/will remain close to for years to come.
YES!!! So excited, got the form letter today FINALLY!! I had told my son about this (thank you all at N4M, I was well educated before he left) and told him to make sure he wrote something to me, because it would be all the info I had on how he was holding up. Love that boy to the moon and back, he crammed as much as he could in those four lines, and then some. He said he likes it there (?) lol, and has a good bunkmate. He said he can make his bed in five minutes now (isn't that longer than he's supposed to take?) He said he loves me, misses his cats and guitar, is dreading his shots, got poked 6 times for a blood test by a Corpsman (which will be my son's rate, lol) and said "GO CLEAN MY ROOM". I think he's doing just fine. :)

That’s so cute!!! He did fit allot!  I love what I got in my form.. My hubby said it was "crazy there” and he was still having to get use to not seeing our daughter and myself... But I am a little worried.. Crazy good or crazy bad??

I mailed 2 cards and 3 letters today.. well actually 11 letters but I split them up into 3 envelopes.  Haha.. (he is going to write me just to tell me to slow down on the mail!)  I also put in some pictures of the family, and I made sure my daughter was making funny faces to make him smile!

I didn’t think it was be this comforting to know that there are people out there going through this at the same time I was. This site sure has been helpful, and I am thankful to our little SHIP 12 DIV 159.  I hope out little group grows!  I think this will help up all make it through to May 6!!  49 more days!

HI!

Your hubby and my son are both ship 12 div 159..cool!

ship 12/div 159 friends with sons or daughters going to SC for Nuke,

Does anyone know when they will be leaving for SC after PIR?

On the RTC fb page, it has been stated that anyone going to A school outside of GL will be departing on Saturday. :(

I didn't mean to duplicate this discussion, but a few days ago I made a group for 12/159, if anyone would like to join:

http://www.navyformoms.com/group/ship12division159

hello, we got our form letter Thursday, it was amazing how much he fit on those 4 lines.  we are ship 12 div 159.

I got the “box” last Tuesday… (not so much fun… but good to have something that smelled like him)  and then I got the Form on Thursday… and his address should be like this

SR, LAST, FIRST, MIDDLE INISHEL

SHIP 12 DIV 159

3515 SAILOR DR

GREAT LAKES IL, 60088-3515

The PIR is May 6!!!

That is if he is in 12/159. My hubby left on the 9th. We should be getting a REAL letter this week some time… Fingers crossed soon!  I might call the recruiter and ask if you don’t get anything by tomorrow.

Hope this helps!

staceystan,

the address looks correct! however my son included "recruit training command" below his name and ship/div. the rest was the same

Ahoy! My son is Ship 12/Div 159. So excited about PIR!
