Hey everyone!

I just got the letter from RTC with Ashley's address and grad date (May 06,2011) Does anyone else have a future sailor on the same ship and division?

Jenn, I agree...some things guys and gals just need to do separately , subs is one of them!

aveoa..I know what you mean, but these days, it's not so much my husband I worry about it;s the women!! My hubby is a cop and it doesn't matter that he wears his wedding band, they STILL hit on him!!! Some of these women have no morals... not all, just some.

well my son is sick today!  103.6

Figures he would get sick when my husband isn't here, but I guess its something I'm going to have to get used to as a navy wife.  Trying not to panic, thank god my mom is here to help me through this.

And yeah, my husband's pretty sexy, and I can't even imagine how he's going to look after boot camp.  I'm going to be swatting all the women away like pesky flies!! LOL

Aveo... oh sis, I am so sorry. I hope the little guy feels better. Is there anything I can do to help?

I was a single mom with 3 for 7 years I KNOW how tough it can be.... please don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything and you think I can help...

Honestly the best medicine is conversation at this point.  I've been going out so often to keep my mind off of missing my husband, this one day sitting at home staring at the tv is driving me crazy.

My husband retired as a special agent supervisor from Palm Beach county, FL in 2003 and we moved to TN to the country so he could enjoy his "retirement" that lasted about a year. In 2004, he went back to work as a major crimes detective for a big city by us. Anyone who goes to work for this department HAS to complete their academy. It was a 6 month para-military academy and he was 52 when he went through it so we rented an apartment for him closer to where the training was and he just stayed there all week and came home on weekends, it is about 60 miles from us.  It was the LONGEST 6 months of my life! I give all of you ladies who go through boot camp with no contact for the first 3 weeks a LOT of credit! Even being able to talk to him and seeing him on weekends was tough, I can't imagine how I would have done it had he been unreachable for all that time.

You're an inspiration girl! I'm almost always around to talk too, I work from home so feel free to email me and we can exchange #'s too.  My personal email is BabyBlu809@aol.com and BTW my name is Michele, but my friends call me Shell... :) I'm looking forward to the wonderful friendships we;re forming here.

It is REALLY hard, and I just finished my library book too, so I'm SOOOO bored.  Daytime TV sucks.  I think next week we should start getting phone calls right?  I really hope so!  My letters were mailed out yesterday so hopefully they'll start writing back this Sunday.  My name is Sarah =)

Susan, I ran to the mailbox today...I know they can't write till Sunday, but i don't know...maybe I thought he'd get lucky...no letter though.  I did catch the mailman though so I got to send out my letter to him from yesterday.  I was so mad I was going to miss a day of mailing it out so I'm relieved I got it out.

It's not so hard to stay busy with a little baby, I have my mother's groups and playgroups and mommy and me classes.  I mean its all in like 2 hour intervals b/c any longer then that and my son freaks out, but at least it breaks up the day.

And Shell, thank you!  I would definitely call you if I had a voice at the moment, but apparently my son isn't the only one sick at the moment LOL.

Hey guys, it just occured to me, if Dminn. son got to write maybe ours did too!  DUH, it just occured to me that they are in the same DIV.. I look at so many sites on here, I wasn't thinking that it was our ship/div.. I know another mom who has a daughter in this ship/div got a letter.. maybe ours is coming tomorrow! wahooooooo wouldn't that be great!! :)
OMG SO JEALOUS!  I want a letter!
I got  a short note from Ash at the bottom of the form letter they sent me and I got the box with her stuff yesterday, but no regular letter yet. I can't wait to hear from her the first time!!!
you are in NJ, I am in NY
Did you all see the picture on facebook of the new recruits?  Do anyone see their son in that picture.  I can't really tell if one is my son or if it's even our ship or division.
