Sooooooo how did it feel to wake up this morning a Mother, wife, husband, etc. Of a UNITED STATES SAILOR!!!!   HA!!! WOOOT WOOOT!!

Cheryl, I can't believe they went through BS sick like that, but then again, I guess war doesn't stop for broncitus either. Sure is toughening them up but OH how my heart ached that I couldn't tuck her into bed with a bowl of home made soup LOL

We have had quite the excitement with our other daughter.... too much to go into now but I'll update later. We are unable to leave TN until 1PM, so won't get tot he hotel in time for the meet and greet. :( WE can still meet though right???

Oh I am so sorry you cant make it to thr meet & greet. But Friday morning when we are all sitting at the graduation hall for like 3 hours waiting for it to start we can meet up then. I would LOVE to still meet you before we all leave Great Lakes & our children move on to bigger & better things!! Here is my personal email jc2mnm@verizon.net

Use it anytime you need to vent or tell me anything exciting that is happening in your life or just to chat in general! I will be wearing a white linen jacket with a blue & white polka dot shirt underneath it & a pair of jeans on Friday. Talk to you soon and have a safe trip to Illinois we all need & want you there!!!!

XOXOX

Cheryl

IT was such a relief to wake up this morning knowing she made and all while she was terribly sick. It goes to show you we have TOUGH girls and will be able to handle anything!!

I am almost done packing & now its time to clean. Later today I have to take my dogs to the kennel & pick up our rental car. Then woo hoo leaving @ 4:00 am tomorrow. I have to return to work on Monday after being home for 8 weeks. I wont be able to stalk N4M or RTC Face book all day like I have been. I still get on & check it but just wont have time to chat like I am now!!! All my chatting will have to be a night when I get home(to an empty home). Both my girls are grown now & live on their own & John works 12 hour shifts and doesnt get home until 7:45 pm. So its just me & my 3 yorkies!! LOL

Shell.. make sure you find us at PIR!!  :( You can't be at the meet and greet!  :(
Leaving TODAY!  Our Amtrak train leaves at 7:05PM.. we'll get to Chicago around 9:45AM.  Hope we don't go crazy on a train for 15 hours! LOL

Can't wait to see you all and especially see our SAILORS!!!!!!!! HOOOOOOOOOOOOORAH!

Congrats Div 925 Moms/wives/husbands! You should exchange cell #'s by private message so you can text your arrival, locations etc. A couple of us from our div did, and it was so comforting to get "We just got to the airport! or "Just got to hotel" or even "Stuck in traffic in Chicago!" texts from div friends. You will be so hyper and it will calm you to have contact since you won't have computers while traveling. Don't be afraid to talk to the recruits/sailors who are posted around by the bathroom, stairwells etc. They might be from your div., or one of the two after you. I took a pic of one girl from Jamaica who was guarding doors to the balcony where my son was, and emailed it to her mom. She was nervous but happy that I "forced" her, and her mom loved it since she hadn't seen her daughter in 6 months b/c they live in different states. Make sure you are smart about taking care of yourself...coffee if it's your routine, water bottle in your purse, protein snacks that appeal to you when you are too hyper to eat, etc. Also try to sleep whenever you can b/c the night before you will be restless, no matter how comfortable the bed is! Hopefully your sailors have asked for any travel size toiletries (or boxers!) that they might want at the hotel, because they won't want to bring their toiletry kit. My son took a shower & couldn't wait to put hair stuff in to look more "normal". So happy for you all...your hearts will be so full of memories that you'll treasure. Try not to expect anything, go with the flow, and it will all be bonus. Realize that emotions will be high for all involved, so try to clue siblings or other potentially difficult people with you that "we all need to be flexible and make this special for our sailor."  (and Mom, lol or she might crack!)

Hi!  My daughter, Ariana Haley, is in 925 graduating on 06 May 2011.

Trying to find the paperwork with the PW to log in to get a parking pass...  Anyone have any help for me?

Lisa Haley

That's what I was afraid of.  I have no clue where that paperwork is at.

Ariana's recruiter helped and I think we're ok now. :)

I hope all is ok with you!! You will be greatly missed!!! I will try to get a picture of your sailor. My daughter is carrying the Oklahoma flag. I will be taking lots of pictures. and I will post them. If you want I can get a cd made up of them & I will mail it to you.

XOXOXO

Cheryl

Sorry I missed all you guys @ the meet & greet at the Ramada!! Didnt get to hotel until 8:15. We missed our exit & didnt realize it until we were almost 1 hour out of our way!! What a beautiful graduation!! So sad though we only get our recruit until 7:15 pm today and she flies out tomorrow morning @ 5:00 am. We are meeting her at the airport at 2:00 am and stay with until she leaves & then we are headed home!!! :-(
