Hi ladies!  Congrats on getting your form letters!  You will want to start your ship/div group on your PIR group site.  Hopefully there is a PIR group started up and from that group, you can begin a discussion forum above it for your division.  This keeps all the information for each PIR date concise and organized in one area.  You'll find that is THE PLACE to go for all your information as you travel closer to graduation.  Congrats and best wishes for you and your SRs.  My son graduated 7/8 and is holding now for A school.
My son is in this division. This is all new to me too so I guess we will both learn as we go along. Please send me a message if you ever want to chat.

My son is also in this division.  He is my first son to go into the navy, but I was a navy wife for the first part of my marriage.  Don't know how much help I'll be, but ask me and I'll see what I can tell you.

Cheryl

New moms of a 900 division SR, you are in for a treat.  My daughter graduated on 7/29, she was in ROTC all during high school.  She was in the color guard during her graduation performance.  If you guys need anything add me as a friend and I will try to help as best I can!

Good afternoon my son is in that division too. My husband and I were so excited to get that box that we read about and our letter. We have text and emailed his address to so many friends and family. We can hardly wait for Sept. 23 to see our son gradate again.

Question: Can civilians lodge at the Navy Lodge? If you have the answer let me know. Thanks

Hi!

My son is in this division along with yours. From what I understand civilians can stay at the Navy Lodge. It looks like you just have to give them your son's name. We were actually thinking about staying there as well.

Oh great, thanks for that information. From what I have researched it seems to be a great place to lodge for Graduation. How many days do your family plan on staying? And where did your son ship from?

We were planning on getting there Thursday before graduation and leaving on Sunday, but that depends on when my son is leaving for A school. My son shipped out of NJ. What about yours? Is this your first experience with someone in the military?

That is our plans as well, Thurs.-Sun. We reside in Georgia and my son shipped about 3 miles from our home. Go figure. Yes this is my first military experience, he is our youngest son of two. He always talked about going to the Navy while in the JROTC program in high school. I was holding out, hoping he would change his mind and attend college, but he didn't. Dad was fine,I was the one that had to get on board. LOL I love this site and have I enjoyed chatting with you. I know that you are proud of your son too. Is this your first military experience?

This is my first military experience as well. He is our youngest son of four, 2 daughters and another son. My oldest daughter recently graduated college and the other two are still attending. My son definitely had his sights set on the Navy for a while and after the initial shock, we got on board as well. I am definitely very proud of him. Now it's just waiting for that first real letter. I really miss him, as I'm sure you miss yours. Thank goodness for this site and having others like you to talk to.
I miss my son also, he was the only one left at home. My husband and I are having to get used to an empty nest. It was pleasure chatting with you, maybe we could meet during graduation. I will keep your son in my prayers. Take care.
