Dear Father, How comforting it is to feel your presence here on one side of the country and know that you are on the other side protecting our "boys". I pray that they are waking up to fresh strong legs to carry them quickly through the day. Stengthen their arms and legs and lightene their loads today so their muscles can heal and be free of pain. Calm them during times of confusion so that they can remain focused and complete the task at hand. Bless them Father with the gift of laughter today, it heals the wounds and makes the work seem lighter. Wrap them today with your warmth spiritually, emotionally and physcially so they feel the love and support that you provide constantly for them. Bless these Sailors dear Lord and thank you for the gift of my Sailor. Thank you for the gift of choosing us to be their parents. We pray today thanking you for your Love and Grace Amen.

I am feeling really anxious too! I can't wait for this week to be over for them. My son's roommate was rolled last week. I'm thankful he was not dropped. I can't imagine making it this far and being dropped. Keeping the prayers going.....

I had a big cry today, really big one! Just couldn't get my boy off of my mind. Glad we are through the 1/2 way mark. Of all the summers to have the coldest temps on record, and that water is never warm even on the hottest days... Doing better tonight, just lost it this afternoon.

i haven't commented on this lately. Glad to hear I'm not alone with the worry! For some reason, this time of waiting feels like an eternity.I pray they all hang in there and arrive back to Coronado having achieved such tremendous goals.

Dear Heavenly Father, Wow! It is wonderful to know that you are here with me on the East Coast and also with our wonderful guys on the West Coast. We praise you for the armour with which you have provided us all to face our daily tasks. I ask tonight a special prayer for our guys in 282. Bless them with a night of great sleep. Heal their bodies while they sleep. I pray that they will wake up tomorrow refreshed and restrengthened with new energy to face the day's challenges. Take away the physical pain in their bodies and replace it with your strength as you tell us in Your Word. They are forging new friendships and learning so much about themselves right now. I pray that they will see your love and your power in each other. When they have a difficult time, provide them please with the focus they need to struggle through. THank you for the presence you have with them. Thank you for letting them be our sons! We praise Your Name. Amen.

Rachel and MySOnMyHero, I am right with you also, at odd times i find myself start to overthink and get stressed. I have to pick myself up and find an activity. I get upset when I start thinking about the long days and nights and the stress on their bodies, though I know they can handle it. I think maybe we need to start some online prayers again as we did during HW.... Just post them whenever we feel the urge.I know they will have great stories to share and I can just imagine the bonding that goes on( I know that sounds corny, but....). It is really uplifting to me to be able to talk with all of you and know that our sons share a friendship like no other. What a special gift. I am glad to know that I am not the only one with these emotions. Let's keep pooling our prayers and strengths for each other and the guys!

Anyone out there have a young family friend named Melissa who is an attorney in the South? I met her this weekend and she said that she has a friend in this class. I am always intrigued about the small world connections that I have come across in these last few months.
On another note, I hope everyone is doing okay. I have tried really hard to let my anxiety go and focus on those around me and also on myself. I have decided that this is a good time to reward myself with some redecorating and home improvements. I will keep my mind busy and hopefully the time will fly by. It seems like such a long time with no communication, but the reward at the end of the tunnel will be a great week at home, hopefully!
Enjoy this hot Sunday.

Water temp averages 68 this month... the warmest of the year and
air temps are expected to be highs and lows in the 60s with lots of sunshine.....
sure beats the cold temps of HW!

Dear Father, I praise you for the strength and will with which you have blessed our sons. You have given them a physical and mental strength that can not be matched by many. Please bless them with a spiritual strength as well. Your gift is that you are everywhere at all times and that knowledge strengthens me as a mom because I know you are with all of class 282. Please renew their bodies as they sleep so they can face the daily challenges with a strong body and a clear mind and focus. I ask for a calming peace for the Moms and families at home. May we learn to turn to you for peace and strength. In your name, Amen

Around 30 days, no dates are specific yet. A lot depends upon weather, transportation, etc.
Talked to my son yesterday before he left. Sounded really pumped and eager to get there. I have tried to keep my schedule full so the time will fly by. Lets keep our support for each other going strong!
