What a great phone call! It was good just to hear his voice and know that the week was over! He was actually in the mood to talk for a while.... Thank you Lord for getting our guys home safely today. Heal their tired bodies while they sleep this weekend, rehydrate their bodies and the souls... THank you for watching over them this week. Heal the injured and refurbish them all. IN your name we pray, amen.

THanks C'Smom282. I think we are going to need each other for support over the coming weeks. I am trying to keep myself busy. I hope we all know we can come to this site knowing that we have someone who understands our angst and emotions of the week....

It sure is going to be a lonely week..... I guess it will prepare us for later on.
Let's remember to lift our guys up in prayer this week. I was in line today next to a young Marine. As he was paying for his food, I handed my cashier some money and told her to credit his to mine. He looked at me with a strange look and then a thank you. I said, Thank you. I'm a Mom. When I got in my car, I sobbed. Don't know why, just cried..... I knew you all would understand.

Does anyone know anything about the BUD/S graduation ceremony? Is it a public event?

Thanks grandpa...
Normally, do members of this group talk on this main webpage, or do they invite each other to be friends and comment on individual webpages? Sorry if I'm being a little dense right now. Both my grandfathers were in the military and they are both gone. I don't have any other family member (other than my son)in the military to ask some basic questions about this process.

Hi haes4! It seems that in this business there are a lot of eternal waits..... I think that as parents or loved ones, WE are being trained as well. After all, it's not like they'll be calling home on deployments. (oh my gray hairs.....)

Hi Everyone,
I wish I knew it was going to be a long night because it felt like an eternity before getting the good news!
Didn't sleep at all...............
