I am thinking of you all today and understanding the angst you feel. The sun is up on the East Coast... hopefully in about an hour they will be seeing the beginning of the sunrise in the west. I doubt there will ever be a sunrise that is as special as today! Try to keep busy! Dear God, Bless the men of Class 282 today as they are finishing an incredible week of endurance and perseverance. Please keep them focused in the hours of extreme fatigue and confusion. Bless them with hours of restfull sleep this weekend and heal their bodies. I ask that you are with every family today waiting by the phone, may the hours speed by until they hear a HooYah on the phone! THank you dear Father for the men who put themselves through this week for us. It is a humbling thought when I stop to think why they are doing all they do- Bless them today. Amen

SOmeone asked what time we received the call for an earlier class and it was 3:00 exactly (East Coast time).

Don't panic when you don't get a call as early as others. Some fall right asleep. I will pass along the advice given to me. Let them talk at their own timing. THey just want to hear your voice when they call tomorrow. Once they are rested, they will call for a true chat. I remember when mine called Saturday afternoon and started talking and 45 minutes later when I said, okay have a good evening, his comment was... Oh. Are you ready to hang up? He just needed to feel close to home at that time and the phone was the closest method.

It's not windy yet! At least inland 7 miles! But, checking the surfline reports, I've seen 4-14 kts. 14 being closer to me and 4 being closer to them. (I am north of them)

Can't sleep! Must be my mind is with those young men! Soooo, it is time for a weather report! It was a mild night last night. At 6:00, it was 57 degrees (already) and the sun's coming up and it looks like it's gonna be beautiful! Hang in there moms and dads! It's almost over!

Still hanging there, moms and dads? Yes, it is a beautiful day out there today! The wind is a little nippy and it rained last night, but the sun is out and they can get warm. Hooyah class 282! They are on the downhill slide!

I am a visual person and this beautiful prayer kept a great visual in my head during THE week....
I remember this prayer from Sue on Class 281 and I have been praying it for you all today... (Thanks Sue)
"Dear Lord, When you were in the desert, tempted beyond strength, you were sent angels to assist you. I ask that you send angels to Coronado today to warm, strenghen, uplift, and give peace and encouragement to Class 282. Wrap them in God's love and let them feel that the end is nearer, and to make wise decisions and avoid injury/illness. I will imagine the angels embracing the men. Give encouragement , wisdom and compassion to the instructors today. Praise to you for all the blessings in our lives, and we ask for continued ones. Amen"
