It is hard, but just remember that they aren't alone out there, and when you wake up in the morning, there are just two more sunrises left!

Dear Father,
Thank you for the heat of the day and the warmth of your spirit. Be with our guys as the darkness of the night sets in and lighten their hearts with your love and spirit. Let the stars above shine down from the heavens to lift their thoughts. Rest their bodies while their minds stay awake. Keep them safe through all activities. Gracious, Heavenly Father - I give thanks to you for your mighty presence with the men of Class 282, for I know they could not endure this without your Holy Spirit living within them, guiding them down the path you have called them to serve. Lord, I humbly ask you to continue to give them the physical and mental strength and courage to continue throughout every minute left in this week. I ask you to help them endure this in your glory. When the tiredness and pain sets in, lift their spirit with encouraging thoughts to keep their minds occupied. Push them along when the end of the run isn’t in sight. Lift them up when their legs can no longer hold them, strengthen their arms, make the pain of blisters and sandy eyes melt away....heal the chafing of the skin and feet. ..make the coldness of the water feel like warmth...... Protect all from doubt, harm and injury. Those who believe know you can make all of this happen for these brave, dedicated servants, Father. I humbly bow down and ask you, believing you will hear my prayers, to pull Class 282 through the remainder of the week without physical injury. I pray that they will give you the glory and praise for all that has happened. Father you amaze me with your works. You bless me with your love. I ask these things in the name of your son, who serves us daily, and loves us eternally. Amen!

If your guys are still hanging in there, I'm still praying! (Real Hard!!) I can't bear to read this but I have to! LOL! My husband said the water has gotten 'freakishly cold". (He surfs) I am praying that your sons stay "uncommonly warm" through this week!

Prayers going out to the young men of 282 and their families this week. May God watch over them in their waking and in their sleep, in their toil and in their rest until the task is complete! May they rise on wings like eagles, swim like fish, be strong like lions and run like cheetahs.

Hey, y'all. I've been mostly lurking as my job is 14 hours a day and most weekends. I've been praying for your boys. Mine got dropped last week due to not completing his run on time. He says "No excuses" nut the Navy Doc says that B would have never completed Hell Week with the massive sinus infection he has. He has been given another rating and says that"I WILL be back in two years." I will continue to pray for the safekeeping of your young men. Best of luck to all!

Dear Father,
Today the class is beginning a new journey that is difficult, challenging, dangerous and thrilling to them.. As you tell us in your word, you are the shield that protects us. Be their protectors this week. Bless them with strength when the logs get heavy, and the boats weigh down upon them. Warm the waters around them when their bodies are shaking in the cold. Keep their minds clear and focused on the minute at hand. Please help us left at home to be the source of strength through prayers for each other and our men. Thank you for all that you are and all that you do. Amen

Moms, I know how you are feeling right now. I was in your shoes several weeks ago.I still tear up remembering the emotions I felt. If you get a conversation with your son today, share your love and strength with him. Let him talk. He will tell you his feelings when he is ready. Don't ask questions (as I did, such as are your scared? I could kick myself for that one). I remember saying "WOW, it's here and just think, next time we talk it will be over. I made sure we laughed together.
Anyway, reach out to others on this site and share your feelings, but not those of your sons. It is a hard week as a Mom. I remember cringing every time the phone rang, scared to look at the ID on it. Despite having a great husband and great friends, I felt alone so I did depend on my fellow navy moms to open up. No offense to anyone else online, Moms feel this anticipation with their sons as no other person can. I will post a prayer that we prayed. I know this is emotional, I just want you to realize that we are here for you. God Bless Class 282!

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Presence and your Power. We praise you for the strength you are giving us as Moms as we watch our "boys". GIve us the words of encouragement to offer when we hear from them whether it be daily or weekly. I come to you today to ask your blessing on the men of Class 282. Prepare their bodies for the days ahead. Heal their aches, cuts, rashes, and other physical aliments. I pray that you will strengthen their bodies, minds, and souls for the road down which they are walking. You are the shield of strength that gets them through the days and nights and we thank you for that. I know you are the Sheperd holding his staff as he climbs the mountain, and your staff is providing the strength, warmth and spirit that our boys need today. I thank you for that. I praise your for their determination, endurance and physical power, without your love and gifts, they wouldn't be where they are today. Support all these families and the men in combat around the world today dear Father. In Christ's name we pray Amen.
