Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

This picture is of Sue, Molly, Diane, Lynn, and myself in NYC last August! We are all from different states. One of the best trips I have taken since my adventure with my son began! I think Brenda Sue is taking the picture! I wanted to post it so that you guys will be as excited as I am about meeting all of you!!! I also am from the Riverside area. When she is done, she will be a IT of the future. Or like her little brother like to call itm " The geek squad". I too am interested in a get together.

Comment by KatK on November 16, 2010 at 1:27pm: Do you have a computer and does your son? If so, you can download skype and talk for free! You and your son can see each other and talk via the computer. It is the best! This will be the first year my son is not home for the holidays, too. I agree it will be very hard but I have to remember that this is what he wanted for a career and he knew the sacrifices. We'll talk on Christmas Day and hopefully get to watch him open his presents via skype.
