Tonya, I'm glad Nate finally got on that phone! I'm going to remember the "text bugging" next time for B. He called, finally this evening and sounded really good. He was getting his uniform ready for tomorrow and asked me to send him some things. Then, he forgot, again, to give me his address! Ya gotta love'em, it's required! LOL

Hi Veleda, did you change your screen name? I remember your son's name. I hope he is doing well. Does he like his A school? I've had that happen too, where you post and everyone just seems to move on around you. Thanks for saying something so we can say 'hi.' I havn't posted here in a while, but wanted to check in with everyone. Yah, it's Friday!

Hi kperry, it's supposed to rain all day and then back to the 80's. I love the sunny days and cool evenings of fall in CA. I think we're done with the double digit weather!

I hope everyone has a great week! BTW

My son G (pre BUDs, can't remember his class number) said he has a good friend who is 20 (I think, we were talking on the phone and it was a bad connection) who is from Washington state. If that is your son, please email me :-). I would just love to connect! Have a good week everyone! I am in CA and it is raining here! It is a nice change from the heat.

Since someone else brought it up I'll share what my son said. Over the Labor Day weekend someone O.D. on heroin and died. He didn't know any other details other than it was not the first time this year it has happened. I'm sure there are some who come to the Navy with drug problems already. It is very, very sad. He didn't say anything about any ohter drug problems. Prayers to this sailor's family (don't even know if it was a sailor, but assume so).

Hugs Lynn for tomorrow. I wonder if having a second go through BC is like being pregnant, every one is different.....?

"B" is so funny about clothes. He considers it a badge of honor ot wear the same ones for a LONG time. He carried the same backpack from 7th grade all the way through HS. All the zippers were broken and it was smelly & dirty, but he refused to get a new one.

Hi cleans up real nice though, LOL and of course he looked very spify in his uniform.

Anyway, I'll be thinking about you and your newest SR.

REMMY17 so glad Tyler is feeling better. Time goes by fast and he'll be seeing you all before he knows it. It's hard to take though when you get slammed for something others did....Hugs to you too.

Happy Saturday everyone. After reading the recent posts I don't know how to respond. During BC it was easier because you knew everyone would be checking in a few times a day so leaving a short sentence for soneone was fine. Now I want to respond to EVERYONE and it's just possible.

I am so happy to hear the good news, sad for the not so good news and want to give EVERYONE a big hug.
