I have quarters, I'm packed, now all I have to do is stop eating ice cream and get the birth certificates, gate pass, etc together!
I baked my son's favorite goodies and bought him a huge bag of gummy bears :-)
I can't wait!!!!

As soon as I am done writing my papers for class, I am going to try some graphics. I just sat down this morning with a cup of coffee to read all your wonderful comments, and now I am all teary-eyed. I know this sounds dumb but I honestly hadn't thought that far ahead of saying good bye again....my mind only went to the PIR. Yes, I will be so emotional!!!! You are all correct - they will always be our "babies"!

It will always be hard being away from my son. I'll get used to it I guess, but I will always miss him. At least there will be phone calls and email and leave in the next years. I'm concentrating on evjoying every minute I get to be with him this weekend. How many days is it now? Feels like 100!!

I read that they accept "government issued I.D. with picture, i.e. driver's licence, passport, military, state worker, etc. unless you are too young to have one then the birth cert, etc. will do.

My daughter got a call from B today about Div 841 & "cruiter heaver." He says they get phone calls, to go to the Nex, Food Court, etc. all weekend. He said they all ace'd their written tests and got "over the top" on PT tests too. He says he will call ME tomorrow. YEAH! One funny thing he said is that 841 RTCs won't let them have dessert. I guess they bring out pie, cookies, ice cream, etc. every night,, but they (841) have to pass it up because they "don't need it." If they get "junk" as B put it, this weekend, I hope they don't make themselves sick on it! LOL I had asked him what he wanted me to bring him and he said cookies, rice krispie treats, candy, chips, etc. and he's not a junk food kind of guy so I guess the deprivation has gotten to him! Also, the Div is down to 60 guys.
G'nite all

Hi
No letter for me so far this week :-( I am taking a couple of online classes and I feel overwhelmed with homework!!!! I LOVE reading everyone's comments! I think it is nice that we all feel the same way about our babies :-) I got tears in my eyes just reading about how it will be when we see them at PIR and hug them! I can only stay till Sunday morning, and then I guess I wont see my son G until Christmas. He is ship 04 div 841.
I am so sorry to hear about Molly. I wish her well.

OK, I've tried not to freak out when someone else mentioned this, but I'm about to. They have H1N1?

I'm just going to take my proof of insurance from home. We can't register in CA w/o insurance. Their point is probably to be covered if a vehicle is damaged while on base. Chreyl, If you try the password in all caps, no caps, etc and it still doesn't work make your Adobe is the most up to date. It its' not it's a free download. Also you could send a note to Suej/Purple Pig. she said we could if we have trouble.
