Marion, one of the groups I'm on (14!) ya I'm addicted, a mom was saying there's a site to go where you can find out when a ship will come in. Sounds like that wouldn't be secure, but if I run across it again I'll let you know.

I hope you get a call soon!

Congratuations Lynn, that's wonderful abou the baby! Another thing you could do is take a picture of her as she gets bigger, like every week or so, and he can see that belly growing! How wonderful to have all of your kiddos home at the same time.

Hi Marion, I'm sad that you're missing Justin so much. I haven't gone too long without hearing from Blake yet but I know it's coming for me too. The Red Cross sent him home for 5 days when my dad passed away last month. (you probably saw that on FB) It was so good to see him but at such a hard time too. I wonder if more people will post as it gets closer to the year anniversary of them leaving for BC?

All my best ((((HUGS))))

Amen to that. Thank you Lynn for sharing it. I'll be passing it along to those who UNDERSTAND.

E's mom....mine is in 283 also! I am happy he is in Calif because I am too....although at opposite ends of the state :-(
Sorry to hear about your surgery....I missed exactly what kind of surgery you are having; hope all goes well. I guess with kids, you never know what you're going to have to deal with. I still have 7 year old twins at home, and a 16 year old, so wish me luck too! Only one girl - one of the twins! I would be upset too dealing with everything you are.
I am a teacher too and we are in the middle of state testing. The high school kids tend to give very little effort on their tests, and then the low scores are attached to the teacher's name, and the admin comes to talk to us about "our" low scores. frustrating.
Hope all is well with everyone!
I am getting married again in June (in San Diego so my sailor can be there) after being widowed 5 years ago. I am so excited! I will post a picture. My future husband went with us to PIR in August and is very proud of my sailor too!

Justin's Mom, I am soooo happy that you feel better and that you were able to get your point across to your son without laying a guilt trip on him :-)
I miss the days of boot camp when we were all on this site like crazy and counting down the days to PIR!
One of my students read a paper to me about how when her parents were going thru a divorce all she thought about was herself, and that it took her a few years to get outside of herself and see that her parents and siblings needed her. It made me think of you and your son and I thought maybe it would take him some time to self reflect and think of you. But it sounds like he has.
I am going to see my sailor who is in San Diego in a couple of weeks. I haven't seen him since Christmas and I can't wait. We are actually getting along better now than we ever did when he lived at home.
I am engaged to be married and all my children really like him, especially my sailor.
I love the picture of Justin you just posted! My favorite one of you two was the one you posted after Christmas of you two in the airport, right after you said both of you had been bawling your eyes out. It was very touching.
Have a good weekend
PS This is kperry I don't remember if I told you all I changed my N4M name

Justin's Mom, I'm sorry I haven't gotten that info to you yet. I've been in a funk lately too. Missing my son so much and when I got to talk to him for 2 hours it was wonderful and yet it was bad too because he's having such a hard time. I will get it to you soon.

ChrisMom, I really don't know the moms from those times did it with only snail mail to let them know about their soldiers. I would be in the looney bin!
