Justin's mom, I'll PM you when I find the form that came with the pictures. I think you can order stuff for up to a year after PIR. We got a book, and even if they were old pictures, (B said they were) I still you should get one. I'll get back with ya when I find it.

Lynn, what's 1A? Is that undesignated?
Comment by Tee-1sailor's mom on February 24, 2010 at 10:29pm
I will Lynn. Do you feel that you can't say anything to him because he needs to do it on his own? Can you give him just your opinion on both sides? I try to help B by just pointing out things that he might not think about, while making sure he knows I support him to decide by himself. (Just sharing, not giving advice...)

Hey, it is me, kperry, I changed my user name because I was told we are not supposed to have our last names in it, oops! :-)
Justin's mom, I feel for you! I feel so close to all the other moms out there, because I feel we all have similar feelings towards our "babies". It is so hard when they are hurting, and we always want to take that hurt away. Honestly just being his mom, and having you there to listen and support him and love him is huge to him and his well-being! I'm sure your emails and your conversations are very comforting to him. Our Navy boys are stronger than we realize, and I'm sure he will be fine. Its not easy for them or us, but he will make it through and come out a man. (You are so right about them being so dependent on electronics. So different than when we were young! Remember there being just one phone in the house, on the kitchen wall? (or am I older than other moms?)
I hear you with needing coffee, I haven't slept well either, because of one of my other "babies" not my Navy baby; and my stomach has been upset too!
When I am done with my masters degree, I am going to start a facebook page and would love to keep in touch with all of you who have one! I just don't have time now. Take care and I will keep Justin in my prayers!

Thank you Ellen, that made my day! Back to work today after a wonderful time away with hubby in the mountains. Talked to 'the boy' too and he sounds good. Course I miss him like crazy, but that's just 'business as usual.' He has a tat too, LOL

Hi Lynn and Marion, I see ya on fb but we don't chat much. I'm so with you Marion to bawl when 'he' calls unexpectily. I hope he calls tomorrow. When I hear that I know he probably won't :( but I get over it. Lynn, I'm planning to go to Fleet Week in San Francisco this year to see the ships come in, I think it'll be awesome (and emotional). Hi Ellen, enjoy your snow days and the nice long weekend. I bought 3 books for those cold nights at home. I don't remember where you live mom of cjj but I hope you're not snowed in (unless you wanna be). I love that quote, I'm gonna copy it! I know you and Ellen are so proud of your sons and I'm so proud of 281. I have one there too (not my son, but close enough)

Doesn't it seem like forever since PIR? B is still at Coronado but he'll be heading out at the end of this month to his new adventure. I really wanted to see him before he leaves but it just isn't going to work out:(

Happy Valentine's Day to ya'al

Tonya, that's so messed up! Can he go to a hot spot somewhere for access? Ellen, I hope E gets over being sick really soon, at least the weather is pretty good right now.
