BRAVO ZULU desertdweller! That's awesome! Mine won't be there for a long, long time. TGIF!

Marion, thanks for the great messages, I especially like the last one, of the 3 ladies.

Oh gee, sorry about the missed words. Even when I read things over I still mess up. That's supposed to be "Do something that makes you happy."

Marion, it's OK to vent with us. It sounds like he's feeling his oats and having his fun. They have no idea what he** they put us through. My daughter has been the one to give me grief, not that the boy has been an angel. Iget the "I'll call you tomorrow" and then doesn he? No. I end up paying for everything while his father gets by with a "good job son." I'm not trying to "top you" iwth misery, just saying that it IS hard. They have the perfect opportunity to "do their own thing" and totally forget about us. Just know that because mom is always there, they can forget about us. But when there's a crisis we're the one they come to. Be good to yourself Marion. Try to just forget about kids for a while and something that makes you happy. Sorry if this doesn't help, but I had to try. I care about you.

Another Monday....I'm having a really hard time staying awake this morning. Gee, it's almost 11:30 ack...the rain, the clouds, thinking of a warm place by the fireplace.

OK, enough of that. I hope everyone is well and hearing good reports from your sailors. My Aunt & Uncle are driving to GL and taking B out for some fun and food next weekend. They will spoil him bad!! My Aunt is already planning to bring him brownies.

I am so glad too that we are all still writing to each other! I tell my friends about how you all write from the heart and it is very touching. My sailor is still in Great Lakes, and except for some stress fractures from shin splints, is doing well. Thanks everyone for the prayers! He called this morning to say hello, which was really nice.
I don't think he will be able to come home for Thanksgiving, but we're counting on Christmas!
Cara, Nick Sparks graduated from the high school I teach at! Our track is called "Sparks Track" (he made a nice donation). I love his books too!
Well, I have to tell all you ladies, you know I am a widow, I just came back from a wonderful date :-) We met about 8 months ago, and things are going well. He is a few years older than me, and he is so good to me and my children, and they like him as well. I just wanted to share that with you all - Cara is right - we are like sisters!!!! Hope all is well with you and your sailors. It is nice to read updates and hear about where everyone is going!

I'm off to bed!

I'm here REMMY 17, just checking all my groups. I noticed not many posted lately. B is still hanging in there in pre-buds. I'm sending LOTS of care packages. They burn over 4,000 calories just to maintain their weight!! He's 80% loving it. It's pretty stressful for us mom's but we're hanging in there too.

It's so exciting to hear that some of our seamen (and seawomen) are moving to their duty stations! HooYah PIR 8/21!!

I did Cheryl. LOL I wanted to beef up my pic for my pre-bud son. Cara, Gee, that made me cry! Dori, I'm so happy for you and Trent. It's good to hear from you. Enjoy your visit and give lots of Navy Mom hugs from all of us.

Good Morning, well it's Monday again :( and it's supposed to rain big time by tonight. Yes, it does rain the California...I hope you had a good weekend. I had my grandchilren Sat. night and most of Sunday so I'm pooped. It was great! My sailor is hanging in there in pre-buds, it's tough, but he's doing it. I don't hear from him much, but I'm kinda getting used to it. He also has a tat. The officer that did his swearing in said that half of the recruits would have the Navy symbol on them by the time they got out. (He made sure to say he wasn't encouraging it LOL) Be well everyone,

Marissa, my son and his buddies went to a big mall in Chicago and he said Macy's was like 100 stories! (I know, not quite 100 LOL) Is that the mall you were at? Course they only stayed a little while being "guys" they got bored shopping...

Tonya, I can't wait to get home and check out that vvideo, sounds great!
