Cara, Bravo Zulo to Brandi on her good news! The same to her wonderful mom! I'd love to try that seafood, sounds great!

I'm with you desertdweller, I'm always disappointed in a movie if I've read the book first. Gone with the Wind in High School was my first movie disappointment. It just seemed silly after reading the book.

Night all,
Tee

Cara, I never ACTUALLY tried any of those fried foods, just heard about them. I stick to fried chicken, french fries, and my all time favoriate, BACON! LOL

Hi Marissa, I missed hearing from you!

I must have missed that one... now I have to go and get it for my granddaughter. I loved Owly and of course Happy Birthday Moon, and Only the Cat Saw.

"Someone" wants to go see "Where the Wild Things Are" when it come out at the movies. Says it was one of his favorites as a little one.

I was just re-living the time all of B's div got to call and I didn't get one. I was havin a major meltdown thinking about possibilities. He was SIQ and already better when he finally called, but I was freaking out and you were all so supportive.. good times. Was it only a month and a half ago? I think it says something special about our PIR that we had 2 groups and they were both hoppin.

Ellen I blame you for the "fried food frenzy" ROFL. But really, fried butter? Sounds like a Paula Dean recipe. She put butter on a frosted cupcake the other day for goodnes sake!!

Ya Cara, at the State Fair in Calif it's a big thing to fry everything. Twinkies were the first. The one I don't get was fried Pepsi ??? You'd think with all the health nuts here they wouldn't do things like that. My brother had fried cheesecake at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. He said it was good....I'm skeptical :)

Ya, tatoos. B already had one, a big one, so I'm expecting it to get expanded (it wasn't "finished yet" and probably have friends to go with it. oyevay! I'm so jealous that some of you have gotten to visit since PIR. A few phone calls and that's it. I'll probably get to see him at Thandsgiving, it's not that far away :o)
Have a happy Sunday and Happy Birthday Marion!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARION! So glad you are having fun with your son.
This was from a few days ago, but RiverineMomAnita, I really loved your comment about how our sons feel we love them unconditionally and so much, its why we fell ignored sometime (you put it so well!)
I feel with my G that it was kind of the opposite, before he left we were not that close, but in his letters from BC and our conversations now, he has told me that I am a great mom, and that I gave him the best childhood, and that he didn't appreciate his home life until he had to leave it etc We had some really nice conversations after PIR. He calls a few times a week, and he talks
to his his brothers and sisters and me, and is so kind and loving. I am pinching myself! It really makes up for the high school years when our relationship was tense. My parents were in Illinois (from Oregon) and visited G yesterday.
Well, thanks for letting me share with you all. I am a little addicted to checking my email because of THIS group! Yesterday I had class all day, so I gotta catch up with chores, laundry, and all that fun stuff! Have a good Sunday everyone!

Marion should have good weather today. I talked to B this afternoon and he said it was sunny. He and a buddy were heading out for Chicago.

Ellen, I'm so sorry that your girl is having a rough time. My niece went through a similary thing with a volleyball scholarship a few years ago, she's still struggling.

I'm so happy that so many are keeping us informed on what's going on. Have a sunny Sunday,
Tee

I'm so excited for you! I know you were really looking forward to this weekend! I hope it doesn't rain for you two today. Have fun in Chicago. And I hope your birthday tomorrow is relaxing and special, and that you get to eat a lot of junk food and hang out with your baby :-)
