For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by Tamme on July 12, 2012 at 9:31am: If they are at CL for FMTB, be careful with the care package. They have to do push-ups for them everytime they receive them. My son said it was worth it though. My daughter was so upset when she sent her brother two CD's of over 80 baby pictures when my grandson was born while our sn was in FMTB and they made him do 80 push-ups. He said it's all part of the game but we were so worried.

His company is out in the field and won't be back until tomorrow. He has been reacquainted with many of his buddies from A school, so he feels better. He had been stationed in New Orleans for 2 years, so this is his first reassignment. He said checking in was rough. He had to be in his dress whites for two days. Now he has a bunk and some old buddies! What more does a man need?

I want to send him a care package, and need to know how to send it.
