300 Camp Lejeune Marines and their corpsmen landed in Norway Monday.  U.S. troops are to stay in Norway for a year, with the current batch of Marines being replaced after their six-month tour is complete.  http://www.reuters.com/article/us-norway-usa-military-idUSKBN1501CD

My corpsman starts FMTB January 8th. He has been at Camp Lejeune since October doing odd and end jobs. He did receive a challenge coin from the XO of 2nd Medical because he has been on every work crew since he arrived. So proud of my corpsman

Is he going to be stationed at Camp Lejeune, or is he attending FMTB?  Either way, he is allowed to have a car.

Note to all Camp Lejeune Moms - Navyformoms.com is being updated and upgraded, and part of this effort is making room for new members.  To do so, members who have not been active since 12/1/15 will be removed but will be able to re-join.  If you haven't posted since that date, please do so right away.  This is all part of an effort to make Navyformoms.com the best it can be for everyone, seasoned moms and new members alike.  Thanks and watch for good things to happen!

Hi Carol and sorry for the delay.  It's sort of impossible for us to give you a definitive answer about classing up.  However, I can tell you that at Camp Johnson, where FMTB is located, I'm told that the barracks have been updated. They're busy with study and being in the field, and hard as it might seem to believe, I've never met a corpsman who wouldn't go back and do FMTB all over again, mud and all.  You can follow along at the Facebook page for FMTB-East https://www.facebook.com/FMTBeast/?fref=ts

My son was given his orders for Camp Jeune after December 12th. Can someone direct me to information about when he will actually go from A school to Camp Lejune. It seems that I read somewhere that the living conditions are not good at Camp Le Jeune. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!!
