For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Camp Lejeune / Camp Johnson / Field Medical Training Battalion moms, family and friends - Welcome! Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune is home to more than 47,000 Marine and Sailors from around the world. FMTB, the eight-week training course for corpsmen, is on Camp Johnson, adjacent to Camp Lejeune.

He is finishing up Dental Assistant school in Great Lakes and will graduate May 3rd. My question is: He wants to have a vehicle at Camp LeJeune. Is this feasible? Will he actually use it? Is there a place for him to park it? We live about 16 hours away (Louisiana) so he won't be coming home, just using it on the weekends I suppose. Thanks for any advice! Robin

Comment by Emilie on April 13, 2011 at 12:42am: Hi Guys - decided on a condo on Emerald Isle, some of our family would like to come along so it was the most room for the best deal. A bit away from the base hopefully not too inconvenient for whatever goes on. :) Sounds like we are all getting situated for the big event. Our youngest has to miss a bit of school but I have heard they sometimes deploy soon after FMTB so I want to take every chance we can to have time with him and what a great celebration. We didn't get to go to Corp School graduation as it was right after x-mas ect........Swansboro sounds like a great idea - it will be good to explore the area so if we get to go again we can know the best place to go. What an adventure - I have to say this young sailor of ours is helping us to explore parts of the country we might not have otherwise. :) Many good wishes and prayers for all
