Something for corpsmen moms to read and be proud about!   A special report about Field Medical Training Battalion (FMTB) from this month's Sea Power magazine, published by the Navy League of the United States.  It starts on page 38.  http://www.seapower-digital.com/seapower/september_2015#pg41

How cool! I have two too! I have one son in training at Camp Lejeune and one son on the Carl Vinson. Both their parents were Army, so this is weird for me, but I'm loving it.

Hi Barbara and welcome!  How cool to have not one but two in the Navy!

Comment by Barbara on July 8, 2015 at 8:10pm

Hi!

My name is Barbara and I have two sons in the Navy.

My youngest joined in 2008, he is a corpsmen. He is stationed in Groton, CT now. But he will be going back to NC soon.

My oldest joined in 2006. He was on the Louisiana, but is now on the USS Michigan. He is with the Blue Crew.

Just wanted to connect with other families of corpsmen and submariners.

Froggy, it usually took about ten days to two weeks to get a package to Italy - that was during the period 2012-2014.

Michelle - I was able to attend FMTB graduation - but I don't think it is recorded.  I was able to find excellent pictures online.

https://www.facebook.com/FMTBeast

I went through and found pictures of him during his training to include in his scrapbook.
