For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Bravo Zulu, to you and your boyfriend...sure is nice to see others post about their sailors classing up. are his orders for CP or SC for FTMB training?!! My sailor is on his last week of test 11 & 12 and then it's off for leave which he would have earned up to 2 weeks at the end of clinical at either CP(which is were we live on the central coast). But I bet "dollars to donuts" that the navy sends him straight to NC the farthest away from where we live. l It will be back to text or phone calls!! lol
My sailor was saying that he would be able to have his own car on CP -

My sailor is in CP, he is there and on hold now but he does have a few friend with cars! The base there is HUGE, he said he wouldnt be able to go many places if he didnt have access to a car! Congrats to you and your sailor!

Just so you know, when my son graduated Corpsman A-School, he didn't get leave. He was sent right to CP for FMTB. We ended up shipping his car to him. He didn't get any leave until after he finished FMTB in December. That was Christmas time and so it was nice having him here for the holidays.

Has your sailor with orders been giving an approximate date on classing up?! T says it will probably be the 3rd week in Oct or not until Jan 201. Who knows it's being the right place on the class up roster or He's a reservist (as my sailor) or the powers that be...what ever it is we will welcome the decision!!

He classes up the 10th of october

what happends if during last hike of f.m.t.b. training. corpsman passes out from heat exhaustion. thIS HAPPEND TO MY SON ..He is ok Thank God. But very worried he wont graduate f.m.t.b. He passed all the rest of his training. He is currently in the e.r. and cant get much info. I talked to him briefly. He is more worried about passing then his health . He has worked so hard. to get this close. and not be able to would be a damn shame. any info would be greatly appreciated!!

I don't know Steven's mom but since this has just been sitting out there worrying follow-up class mothers and wives, I did ask and was told Steven did graduate, despite not finishing the final hike. Obviously, he gave his best but the heat gave him its best. Congrats to Steven and his mom.
