Welcome Tammy--
When my guy told me he wanted to join the military was very excited for him. Ask any questions you want, one of the Moms will be sure to answer your question.

Hello everyone!! My name is Tammy and my son is a senior in high school. He has made the big step to join the Navy and takes his ASVAB the first week of March. I am nervous and scared for him, but soooo very proud of his decision. I have so many questions and concerns and its nice that there is a place I can go where other moms know what I am feeling. Hope to talk to some of you soon!!

Hi All;
Talked with my son in GL last, he said it was cold, what an understatement. I like being able to talk with him, not being able to talk with him during Boot Camp, made life really tough.

Gaylebeth--
I feel for you. You are so right that with today's technology we get to communicate with them many times faster than by snail mail. I hated that aspect of Boot Camp, at least that is over for now. He should be arriving in Chicago just about now.

Hi Natalie--
PIR was such a remarkable thing and so memorable for botyh my son and myself. I have been blessed, he's been home since the 18th, but returns tomorrow. I'm already having to fight the blue. My guy will be in GSM school, its part of the engineering department, he'll be there until the middle of March.

Good Morning;
My guy flies back to Great Lakes tomorrow and should be there until the middle of March. He will get his permanent orders after he completes his A school.
Cindy22--
Like you, I'm already feeling blue and have enjoyed having him home and cooking all his favorite meals.
