I understand how you feel, my soon will be deployed soon, and during his most recent visit his girlfriend ( who turned into his fiancee after dating for 6 months) booked a hotel for the whole week and he rented a car. We saw him for a total of 45 minutes the whole week. .....one he's deployed who knows when we'll see him. She's pushing the whole marriage to happen sooner than later...

JnRene-I understand why you feel hurt. He will need time to adjust to being home.  They have missed so much while they have been gone. During one time when my husband was gone I rearranged our bedroom. He asked to have it put back the way it was before he left. He'll make plenty of time for you once he has had time getting his feet back on steady ground. Don't be offended.

JnRene , I have no experience with that my son is stationed in Japan, but I , like you, would be having a hard time with this request, I am in DeLeon springs if you need to just talk, I'm nearby :)

Anyone have experience with your sailors homecoming after a long deployment?? We are in DeLand and my sailor is stationed in San Diego where his wife eagerly awaits his arrival from Bahrain next month. He will have been deployed for 11 months by then and I have been asked not to come for his arrival or for the next few weeks after.......trying not to feel extremely hurt by this!!! Advice needed please......

flgirltwo- She left yesterday for C School. We let her pretty much decide what she wanted to do. Beach, sleep, eat, beach, sleep, eat and maybe hang with family. lol. But hanging was pretty much her decision. Enjoyed just having her here. I miss her already.

Hello all! It's been ages since I've been on N4M site. Hope you all are well and loving the Navy! teehee

@LindaA AM Mom - Gosh! I wish I had been paying attention! I would have loved to have been a part of the packing party in April. I'm right down the street in Casselberry!!

An update on my sailor...she hit 2 years this week (of her 4 year contract). Was home a couple weeks ago for her first leave in 10 months . . . we loved having her home, in her room, in her own bed! (her room is exactly as she left it in 2010) After her two weeks home I flew to Norfolk to spend a long weekend with her. Saw the barracks, met her roommates, visited her squadron (she is an airman-shore duty). She showed me around her town. We learned on her leave that she made promotion to E4 (now an AD3)--she was psyched! She's another 6 months at Norfolk, then she must move to a new duty station...where, is up in the air right now. There's talk of Bahrain (ewww, no! lol) or as close as Jax (this I like)!  And, there's already talk of re-upping in 2 years. Soooo...she is doing very well and is happy, which makes us happy. We miss her terribly, but she is following her destiny. Hope yours are doing as well.

Any of you Central Florida Moms be sure to hit me up when something is going on. Would love to meet some of you and get involved.
