glad to hear everyone had a nice christmas. mine was nice too. it was good to get a call from jim as well. i can't believe everyone got a call! that's pretty amazing considering how rare phone time is! got mostly everything i needed or wanted this year for sure. time with awesome family and friends and even snow!! but i can't wait to have those experiences with jim! this time apart is going to make time together extra special.
hugs and kisses and happy new year!!
Merry Christmas!
Spent the morning at the beach, watching the sunrise and sending my love and prayers to our Sailors who are out there on the water, protecting us.
May each of you have a blessed holiday.
.
i think i know what the "set date" is supposed to be, but i didn't think about the cells working again close to the date... *sigh... that makes things even easier than before. :) so excited...
downhill from here ladies!! WWOOT!
yah!! everything feels easier already!! kittythief, does this mean "the date" is still up in the air?
you can never send too much. :)
i just sent jim a small 6 inch xmas tree with a bunch of stuff to hang on it and i thought that was too much cause i didn't think he had any room for it. he ended up putting it in the sonar room and all the guys really liked it. he told me they've recently made more things to put on it out of scrap stuff from the ship. it now has tinsel and even a little star on top...
anything that you think is "too much" will just be spread to other sailors. and that might just make their day. :)
xoxoxo
:(
i've been pretty lucky with packages. i make a point to send one every two weeks in hopes that Jim will receive one at least every other time the mail comes in or so... i've been pretty surprised to find out that he's been receiving one every time the mail comes in. and recently they've been coming in in order. so, denise, 6 weeks might be a little steep. he might get them before that. :)
and sorry about your loss as well. i can't imagine how things must be feeling around your home lately... i hope christmas brings a little brightness... *hugs
Good Evening Ladies...
Glad to hear my "Adopted" Sailor aboard your ship has gotten some packages, although not mine...must still be in transit....slow pony from Florida I guess.
I am with all of you, as my "NavyDude" is also deployed, and this is a tough holiday for me as well. I am trying to stay positive - no tree here, just the village and the stockings. Yes, I hung his up too. No filling them this year, but for some reason just having them hung makes me feel a little better.
I am praying for all our Sailors every evening.
It makes me feel better to know that you all are here and have allowed me to share in your journey.
God Bless us all, and keep our Sailors safe.
Merry Christmas,
Laura.
