I received an email message from my son last night!  He sounds so good and it was a relief to know that he is all right.  I know that they will all be glad to get some rest soon.  Thanks to everyone for your supportive messages.

Haven't heard from my son either, but like Mary, my son doesn't communicate well either.

The only communication I've had from my son has been via FB.  I should NOT be surprised by this!!  Sometimes I really wish he were more of a mama's boy.

Good morning ladies,  I have not heard from my son either but it's nice to know communication is possible.  This my son's first deployment.  Thanks!

I have not heard from my son, which doesn't surprise me since he doesn't communicate very well from base, so I really appreciate hearing from you who have heard from your loved ones.  Thanks for sharing.  It's good to know what is going on.

Hello ladies! Heard from my son today! Yay!!!
Looks like he'll be checking his emails often to hear from his Girlfriend. :-)) So maybe I will get more email replies too.

I would say send packages when you know they will be out at Sea for awhile. After rimpac.
Comment by della gardner on June 18, 2014 at 10:17am
I am not sure how the packages are going to work with them being at rimpac.
