FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hello, Pam thanks so much for mentioning the web cam. I will definitely get with my son on departure info while I'm there next week!! Getting so nervious the closer it gets :-/

for those of you who are not in San Diego you can watch the deployment live via the San Diego web cam.  I did that last deployment and plan on watching this one since I am far away and  in the middle of a corn field.  Also this group does seem to be more active during deployment.  Welcome to all of you who are new.

I'm so sorry you're having a hard time. this group was really active during deployment. Hopefully there are still some ladies with sailors on the ship (mine will discharge before deployment) Have you gotten some answers? Do you have the info for the ombudsman? I see where they are having a Pre deployment brief this week.

This will be my husbands 1st deployment. I have no idea how im going to get through this they have been underway for about a month now and came home 2 of the 4 weekends and im breaking by the second! Any advice or tips are welcome!!! What should i do on his palm leave to help make this easier on us??
