So pleased I found this.  I'm the mother of 4 great kidnadoes and the older two are now in the Navy.  I still have two teenagers at home with me which makes the missing of the older two a bit easier to bear.  Wish I found this group when my first son went into boot camp in 2011.  My second son just left for boot camp on July 1st 2014.  My first born is on the USS Louisiana.

Hello!  Eortiz - so glad that you are currently attending CofC.  I do as well.  My son is currently deployed on the Bremerton (sub) - his first deployment.  I will keep you husband, Rebecca's son and all service persons in my prayer as well!

Hey everyone! I see that its been awhile since any activity has gone on this group, but I grew up COC, and still currently attend. My husband is on a deployment. I would be more than happy to join anyone in prayer if anyone has any requests or anything! Praying for all your sons/daughters/spouses!  :)

Hello, I am Jill, I am a social worker as well working in a state hospital. My step-son is Tim. He graduated from bc October 1st in Great Lakes. We live in Terrell and are orignially from Canton. He is in "A" School now for job training. He will come home for Christmas and will probably get his orders to ship out. I am so glad I found this group. We talk about his spirituality every time we talk and he is in constant contact with the church here in Terrell. I raised him since age 5. It is very important to me that he finds strength in his faith and I worry that he does not have the support from members while he is there. Thank you for sharing your concerns that so many of us have.
