Does anyone have the graduation schedule for 2014/2015 graduations... My daughter arrived 10/25 and we are guessing for a March 9th graduation... But would like to get things booked.  Just wondering if anyone had one?

Irishmama, please come join the group for A School families - http://navyformoms.com/group/hmhospitalcorpsmanaschoolinsanantonio

Unlike PIR, you won't receive a packet of info.  You'll have to rely on your daughter for graduation information including date.  In the A School group at the top with other links, I have posted the only update I've gotten, but those grad dates start in May 2015 (BMTCP is notorious for not posting grad dates, so I have to rely on a contact there and that's all I've been able to get so far for 2015).  Our A School group also has a number of Discussions with information on where to stay etc if you choose to go to San Antonio for graduation.  When you join, please post your question in the Comments and hopefully another parent with a sailor in your daughter's group will have info for you too :)

Marcy, I am in the Facebook group, Thanks.... my daughter is falling into that area of graduation that you have not gotten.... Early March we believe, I don't get how they know graduation for May but not for March.... I guess I will just take my chance and book my house for the date my daughter thinks it is! Thanks!
They know the dates, they're just not good about posting them anywhere. I got the May etc dates from an A School instructor friend who was kind enough to pass on what he had and I typed them up so I could add to our group :)

Any chance that you could obtain the first half of the years graduation dates?  I would be so greatful for that information.  We went ahead and booked, based on her original date given.

Be careful about booking dates. My son is class 015 with an original grad date of feb 23. He started Classes 10/22. Last week the date changed to feb 11!

My son said his date of graduation is April 9, 2015? Any way of obtaining more concrete schedules? I also would like to book in the next 2 weeks!

My daughter just graduated from Corpsman A school.   Just a word of caution her grad date had changed 6 times before graduation.  Twice in the week before graduation.   Listening on other posts this is very common.   My daughter has leave and is going to come home for a week before starting C school.    She was so glad we did not come for graduation as it was a 20 min. ceremony.   They were told they would have liberty after wards and were kept in briefs until 5.    Then had to be back in barracks at 6:30 to clean.   It didn' t seem to matter that these kids had family there.   The next day they were in class all day finishing up testing and that evening she had to move from one barracks to another.    I don't want to discourage any one from going to graduation just be aware it is not like PIR!   There are so many things that can change the date and the time of grad.

Thanks Tyko 9! This is useful information. I would be coming from N.Y. and last minute travel around Easter is quite expensive. I remember Great Lakes. I was so disappointed to have only 6 hours with him before he returned and got ready for his flight that night. I would never have missed the PIR. If graduation is only 20 minutes it might not be worth the expense? I'll have to consult my Corspman. Your information has been greatly appreciated. Thank You.

My son graduated Corpsman School @ San Antonio in February 2015. Yes his date of graduation changed three times. Corpsman graduation may not be as long as PIR Great Lakes, but it was well worth the trip. You get to see your child take their Corpmans Oath and get sworn in, And it is amazing to hear the whole group sy the Navy Oath. You get to meet their instuctor face to face. Oh and if you arrive during the week you have from 5 to 10 pm to take your child off base for dinner, lazer tag, what ever you like. I am a single mom, and my daughter and I flew in and stated at the Travel Lodge. Clean, friendly and  5 minutes from the Main Base Gate. You turn right out of Travel Lodge parking lot and your next right turn is into the base gate. My son was released 1/2 hour after graduation and had to be back at 5:.30 to clean the barracks, but was released an hour later.

Dont forget they have off from Friday even to Sunday night. so if you arrive the weekend before graduation you have all that time.
